Aleternate universe quotes for an evil Obi-Wan:

"Once you were but a learner . . . oh, he--, you're still but a learner!"

"So what I told you was true, from a certain point of view. Oh, all right, no it wasn't. I made the whole thing up. Did I ever tell you what happened to your great aunt Phyllis . . .?"

"This little one's not worth the trouble. I'll run him through myself!"

"Your eyes can deceive you. So shut up."

    Darth Ãœbel

    Ubel is German for Evil.

I also noticed that evil in Spanish and French is Mal. That could be the roots for Darth Maul. Just a thought

Good call . . . hadn't thought of that. FWIW, Lancelot takes the nickname "chevalier mal fet" or "the ill-made knight" in The Once and Future King, and probably the Morte d'Arthur as well, but I haven't read that one so I can't claim to know.

I tried looking up sinister words in an ancient paperback that claims to translate words into "26 languages simultaneously," but mostly all it has are "Where is the train station?" kinds of words.

I can tell you that "bad" is translated as "mau" in Portuguese, "buruk" in Indonesian and "mal'bona" in Esperanto (that's how old this book is)! Any of the above might make tolerable Sith names. Unfortunately, "bad" is "spatny" in Czech and "darlig" in Norwegian. (Darth Darlig . . .?)

Interestingly, "bone" is "ben" in Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian. So if we wanted to name Obi-Wan "bad to the bone" in Norwegian, it would be something like Darth Ben Darlig.

Sort of a cheap thrill for the Obi lovers, but enormously silly. :)

I don't think he takes that in Morte D' Arthur, just TH White. Sorry, I'm a real Arthurian buff and I had to put that in.
Hmmm gotta look up some evil, Sith-y type words in the Celtic languages......

    I know, I know...but I just couldn't resist! ;)

Darth Mullet would also be a good one.

Another good one is Darth Calavera. It means Skull in Spanish. Might not be the best name for Obi-Wan, but its a cool name none the less. (think Manny Calavera from Grim Fandango...the Lucasarts adventure game :))
