Yeah, that thread got buried along w/ many others, so here is a new one.

With all the novels set to come out on the horizon, I felt it was very important to get this thing running again. We now have Clone Wars Novels, Prequel Novels, Post NJO Novels and a few more EU Novels coming out all over the place. As part of my revamping the Obroa-Skai website, I wanted to get some input from everyone as to how to do that, what to include, how you'd like to see it broke down and any other ideas (within reason) for the new site design.

Also, we have some news this week that I believe most of us missed... Dark Nest I: The Joiner King by Troy Denning came out last Tuesday... This is the first of the Post NJO titles, so it will be interesting to see what happens. At CIII we were being told to expect some serious surprises.

Zoo, is there any place that shows the complete chronology to date of the novels cause I would like to start reading some but don't know where to start.
Is that something that you could put on your website?

Graco - Echostation is current through Unifying Force of the NJO series, circa 2003, I believe.

Did anyone else read the spoiler review for the first Dark Nest linked off tf.n a while ago? While I'm normally one to avoid spoilers, in this case I wanted to get an idea of what the new trilogy was going to be like. Definitely some... weird... stuff.

Regarding the website... hm. I can't think of any suggestions.

Chronology: A Must! It will definitely be on the new site. And actually there will be two of them... Timeline Chronology and Publishing Chronology (because it really can make a difference when you are reading them)

I get my spoilerific news from the kids over at Kriff This! [face_laugh] And they have been frothing at the mouth for this one for a while now ;)

are you going to need reviewers or anything? granted I'm not caught up, and a lot of people here have read more SW books than I have...but I enjoy telling people that Barbara Hambly FREAKIN SUCKS! (brought to mind after reading about Children of the Jedi on starwarschicks: "Any good? -- well written, although I felt the plot was VERY contrived, especially the ending. And Luke being in pain a lot of the time was a bit overdone.") Well written my arse. They also say it's worth reading since Callista is in the next couple books. I say SKIP Children of the Jedi and while you're at it, skip the next three: Darksaber, Planet of Twilight, and The Crystal Star. Probably the worst stretch of books in the entire EU in my opinion.

Let me catch up on a few books I need to read, then I'll start writing some reviews. Maybe. ;)

Zoo, do you mean reviews for older books such as the NJO or just starting with the new books coming out now?

Any and all Star Wars Books!

If there is one you want to review, post the title in here and I will make sure you get to do the review of it... If I ever get enough reviews, I will post more than one for a title. :)

    All fixed :D

Oddly enough, I have read all of them aside from the Clone Wars Novels, The Bounty Hunter Wars (sorry just couldn't get through those) and juvenile books... Clone Wars novels will start after the DVD release, and I suppose I could read the YJK series to my niece [face_devil] And the JJK series to my younger niece [face_laugh]

Aaaaaaa Carp! It seems (after being reminded AGAIN by a certain Dragon) that I have also forgotten about the Jude Watson series of juvenile prequel books... And then I remembered about the Boba Fett set of prequels... So, there will be further updates later :p [face_blush]

Well, there are a couple of other juvenile books, but they have weird, combined timelines, so I'm not sure where to put them yet... Gonna ask some of the people I know who read those things

Yeah, I've seen some really weird series at the library... something to do with terror? I can't remember the series title, just that it sounded like they were trying to grab the goosebumps crowd or something.

edit: Here we go. It's the Galaxy of Fear series. Fear, terror, close enough. They seem to be by John Whitman; at least, the ones I've looked up so far are all by him. I have no clue who they're about or where they fall in the timeline, though. I suppose I could actually... like, read one or two of the things, if we need someone to have read them for the website.

Here's a link off the official site. The description has this to say:

This six-book story arc follows brother and sister Zak and Tash Arranda, orphans from the planet Alderaan who are adopted by their shape-shifting uncle Hoole, an anthropologist, on spine-chilling adventures to the darkest side of the Star Wars universe-where a new villain threatens the fate of the galaxy.

Except, there seem to be more than just 6 books. Ah, here we go...

This successful series continues with six stand-alone titles following the spine-chilling adventures of brother and sister Zak and Tash Arranda and their shape-shifting uncle Hoole as they try to outsmart Darth Vader and the evil Empire.
