I was wondering if there was any WiFi that attendees could use while at the show and as it turns out, there is (for a fee):

    http://www.occc.net/pdf/MM_WiFiBrochureforAtt.pdf

$25/day isn't the cheapest, but if you do carry your laptop/netbook with you it could be nice to hop online to check out the forums, upload and share some photos, etc. during any downtime (waiting in lines, eating lunch, etc.).

It's at least nice to know there is an option if you want it.

EDIT: Just found this page too:

    http://www.occc.net/attendee/services.asp

Has a nice list of all of the services that may be available (some vary depending on event) such as

-Bag check (hope we get this, not just for VIPs)
    -Kinkos Business Center
    -Massage?

And most importantly...shoe shine! Keep those Jedi boots polished! :D

Guess I've been living in Australia for too long. $25 is the average price you'd pay per day for access in just about any hotel here so it didn't seem too bad to me. No such thing as free wifi anywhere here.

$25 is WAY too high when you consider the actual amount of downtime any one person will have while inside the OCCC.

Most of the hotel's in the area offer free in room WiFi or In Lobby PC access. SO paying anything like that is crazy.
heck you could walk next door to the McDonald or Starbucks and use there free access. but Mattdoc, The EU has the fastest and best Broadband in the world . In the majority of the USA broadband speed suck , Im guessing here but you could probably get wifi speeds of 3.0-5.0 MBPS in the states.

Wonder if 3G will work in the cc? If so, then really no need for wifi for me.

Trust me, speeds in the USA are way better than Australia. And uncapped too. I just love paying a fortune for an averagely slow "high speed" connection that limits me to 25gb per month. Can't wait to get back to the USA!

Just saw on Twitter from Reed:

"free wifi will be available in 2 places: Lvl 2, Central Lobby and Lvl 1, AB Lobby (ground floor)."

Nice that there will be free wi-fi spots! $25 seems a little steep.
