Provo October activity ~ Sat., Oct. 21, 7 pm ~ @ Mia's place

Here are the details, to be filled in as they're confirmed (so I don't forget to confirm anything this time!)

Date: Sat., Oct. 21
Time: 7:00 p.m.
What: Halloween mini-reading: Halloween potluck. Bring your favorite "scary" story to share and read aloud or tell. It doesn't have to be truly "scary," and it doesn't have to be Star Wars. Just something Halloweeny.
Where: Mia's apartment -- PM for address/directions!

Bring whatever you'd like for treats! If you want, you can post what you'll be bringing so that no one else brings the same thing. Hope to see you all there!!

The weekend of the 20th and 21st will probably be best for me. I was bummed I had to skip out on the last one, so I really hope to make it this month.

 

Last year, we were going to decorate hospital doors for Halloween. We could look into doing that again, since it turned out that no one had time for it last year...

 

If I am to do something, it can't be 14th. That's my 2 year aniversary.

I can't do it the 17-21 because of Homecoming Spectacular and on October 30, I have a recording session.

 

It looks like the 13-14 is bad for several people, I know kateydidnt won't be here then. Hmm.

I think any weekend should work for me. Except saturday the 28th. I wont have the same problem as last month (i couldnt go because i had to work until 11) cause I dont work at the same place anymore.

 

We still need people to vote on ideas and what they'd like to do!

If we're going to have a Halloween party, we need to begin making assignments on who's going to do and bring what.

I assign Gardener to the blood-curdling screams and baked goods...Oh, I should probably ask her first.

 

Here's a suggestion. We could have a movie night, everyone bring their favorite scary movie, then we vote on what we want to watch. I think no matter what we do, we should at least dress up.

 

One option we talked about last night was a scary story night.

 

Yes we did! Now we just need to get everyone to vote on it. And decide what we're doing for food, and the like.

I am still trying to come up with something brilliant to bring.....

 

Well, I know that Gardener is planning on The Telltale Heart and I'm going to be reading Bloodprice.

 

I started a story about vampires. I could read an excerpt.

 

That sounds very cool!

As for the potluck, just bring treats or drinks or whatever you can scrounge up. It'd be awesome if they're Halloween themed, it's okay if they're not.

If you want, you can post here what you're planning on contributing so that someone else doesn't bring the same thing. The activity shouldn't last forever and a day, so I don't think we need a whole meal, but if you want to bring something more meal-oriented than snacky, that's okay too.
