Evan, IN October is Special Interest Group Month???

I have an idea. Think of it as an open house of sorts for the 3 SIG's

Costuming
Collecting
Book Club

Idea goes as follows...

Everyone in the club, obviously if work schedules permit, would attend all of the SIGS in the month of October.

I feel it would boost attendance, morale, and give members a chance to see the uniqueness of our SIGS in relation to collecting, etc.

The dates and locations shouldn't change, just a boost in attendance and hopefully interest. It might be a good idea to have a pot luck dinner just to
accommodate those who would normally be having dinner at that time.

I know that often interest starts to wane around this time and then picks up very close to Christmas/elections so this may very well be a good idea.

I also think it would encourage the heads of the SIGs to plan a really good meeting for this month to impress the new attendees, giving them a boost as well. I know if I was going to have a bigger attendance that would give me the inspiration to plan a more focused and hands-on event.
