FF:NSW October Meet: The Cheapskate adventure

Ok all, with the September meet approaching, lets not get slack and forget October! While we have the meet down kiecas meet to look forward to at the end of Novermber, we have a month to fill.

And i dunno about u, but I needa CHEAP meet!

So I was thinkin maybe we could do a picnic. Maybe at Bondi beach, or Manly beach. some food, some blankets, some company and all is well!

So what do u all think??

 

i have a better idea geckos birthday is in october and i will help foot the bill for the party

 

Well, we could combine the 2, and have Gecks BDay down in Sydney

i mean, Her Dad is back then ( I think) so she is down in Sydney on weekends anyway.

Is that ok Clare? What do u think?

Sound good to me, only problem is I'm pretty much working most weekends and the only one I've got off is my Wedding Anniversary. Somehow I don't think my wife would understand me going out with my fellow FF buddies on our anniversary weekend.

 

I'd be simply delighted.

October 13th, anyone? That's my actual Birthday ...

Cheap meet???
I've got some ol' mutton in the back of my fridge. Y'all can have that fer two bits.

 

Well, Id say somewhere around the middle/end of October would be best for me.

 

13th is fine for me, although sand and cake could give some grief.

 

I think there's a Skyforce meet towards the end of October, so I'd suggest we don't have it on the same day as that.

 

Your right Ki, there's a Skyforce meet on the 22nd, unfortunately I wont be going to it a s I'm working that weekend.

In any event, with Skyforce At the end of October, maybe something like the 13th would be cool....

Neither Scream nor I can make it on the weekend of the 20th (even if he doesn't know it!) but the 13th sounds good.

Now then: If we are going ahead with a beach idea, then do we go to Bondi or Manly, or somewhere else?

And if not the beach, where?

 

I'll say "yes" for now, but I might be starting a new job between now and then.

I don't mind which beach we go to. But there should be a backup plan in case it rains. We never had one for the Gong, but we were lucky the weather held out for us.

The beach ... now that's a place I haven't been in a long, long time. Not my style, but whatever suits others will do fine for me.

If it rains I say we go to a really classy function centre like the "merry mistress" club in Kings Cross! Sharlene, Ronda and Berryl were real friendly last tiem I was there!!

I'm not sure if I can make it, just depends on how and when sowing, planting and a hundred other things pan out..... but hopefully!
