Mass October meet

Either day is ok for me.....

 

The 18th isn't necessarily out for me, even though it's due to be a shopping day. My brother & I have tended to do shopping in the morning on those days recently, so I can often be home from that by noon. Just don't plan anything too early, as I'll need time to get there (assuming I have a ride).

 

Depends on the time for me... I will be tied up with Nutcracker rehearsals until at least 6:30-7pm on the 18th.

However, it seems that the 18th is the more popular date... so now, what do we want to do/where do we want to meet?

We really need to make this happen to discuss SMF, etc.

 

Korey if the 19th works out better I am willing to do the meet on Sunday .

Besides it may be that I have a wedding to go to on the 18th that I forgot about..oops.

Honestly, I won't know definite rehearsal times until this Saturday evening after auditions. I will post on Monday which works better for me - the 18th or the 19th.

 

So is everyone ok with the 19th?

 

Either should be OK w/ me, but if it's Saturday (the 18th), I'd probably prefer something that starts later, like 2 PM.

 

19th works best for me...

Where are we meeting?

 

depending on what my work schedule is I may be able to come on the 19th.

 

Alright guys, I am available in the afternoon on both the 18th and the 19th... what do we want to do?

If needed, the ALCS game on the 18th is scheduled for 4:30pm. The game, if needed, on the 19th is scheduled for 8:00.

The Pats have the Monday night game that weekend (the 20th).

SO, what do we want to plan on doing. This is only 2.5 weeks away and I don't want it to fall by the wayside... again.

 

Where is the best place to go? I am up for anywhere!!

Chris - are you bringing stuff for me to store for SMF?

 

I'll have to see about this, but Pinz appears to be what league bowlers call a "party house," meaning the lanes aren't kept to USBC (United States Bowling Congress) standards, so if I bowl, don't expect me to bring all of my gear (maybe my shoes and my plastic spare ball, but that's it).

Sorry that Pinz is not your ideal place for bowling. Unfortunately, bowling is the furtherest thing from my mind.

We are trying to pull together a meet this month - the 1st since.... ? - to get everyone together and to chat about Supermegafest.

If we don't want to go to Pinz, where do we want to go?

At this point, I would be more than happy to host at my house... cook up some sort of food - BBQ or otherwise... and just hang out. Not exactly what I want to do but, if it works...

We know that the weekend of the 18/19th works for just about everyone.

We need to decide what we want to do... if we are going to meet at all.

Sorry for the blast but, it is very frustrating to me that we can't have a meet set up when we've been trying to put it together for a month or more.

I am just trying to keep the group together and active.

So, are we meeting and, if so, where and when?

 

Pinz sounds like a great idea..... I have been bowling a long time, never been there so I would like to meet everyone. I think it would be the ideal thing to do.

Just my opinion.....

 

K, I didn't say I wouldn't do Pinz...just that I wouldn't bring everything I normally use to bowl (like my good ball).

 

This is why I suggested meeting four times a year for now. Most of us will see each other at SMF, and I know there was talk about meeting up at the bar after the Fest. That sounds like a successful November meet. It's hard enough making time for that event, between family, work, friends etc. I can't justify two Saturdays in the same month. I wish I could, believe me, but I'm pretty sure asking my wife if I can take off for two weekend days in November, one to talk about SMF and the other to attend it, won't fly so well. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing everyone at the Fest!

 

Unfortunately, Frank, 2 of those 4 dates would be taken up with SMF & the Holiday Party and those are in back to back months (November & December).

CAN WE ALL STILL MEET ON THE 19TH?

I, unfortunately, was multitasking too much yesterday and was looking at the wrong week on the calendar...

The next meet will be as follows (final decision):

Sunday, October 19th at 2pm at Pinz in Milford.

I've PM'd Meriwyn to update the scroll for us. Hopefully, we will have a good turn out to talk SMF and have a bit of much needed fun.

OK I changed your scroll for you. I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but my Mom passed away last week and it's been absolutely crazy here as you can imagine. Korey, let me know if I deleted the right post LOL.

 

OK, despite what I just said in the SMF thread, I've checked the day's schedule again with my mom. I have a late event the night before, so I'll be really tired. But despite that, I have a class in the morning until 11:00, then I have a radio show from 4:00-6:00. But the time in between them is free. So 2:00 PM on the 19th does work for me, though I'd have to leave at 3:30.
