Sac, CA October meeting

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on the boards lately. Family situation. My mom had a kidney removed Friday due to a tumar the size of a quarter at the top of her kidney. As of today, the Dr hasn't received the pathology report yet. But, her remaining kidney is functioning "perfectly" his words. Her blood pressure, red blood cells, blood sugar and breathing are all at "excellent" levels. She was brought out of ICU this morning and is resting comfortably in a room. She may be able to come home on Thursday or Friday. With that said, there was a sizeable "glitch" Sunday morning. Lets just say Demmerol and my mother do not get along very well. She had a reaction to the pain medictation and became very confused as to where she was and what was happening to her. It was so extreme, I had Yuba City PD knocking on my door at 5AM Sunday, telling me my mom had called 911 "from the hospital" worried about me, because she couldn't get ahold of me by phone. I have slept there in her room ever since. So, tonight is the first night I am back at home and be able to sleep in my own bed. **sigh** [Jar Jar voice]Sooooo good be'n home[/Jar Jar voice]


Now, to the task at hand ...

That's what I have so far. Anyone else? Enzerumo are you going to be able to get your shirt and decal? I will call in the order tomorrow afternoon, so anyone else who wants their shirt, and rogue call sign decal speak up, or you will have to wait until next month's meeting. Also tomorrow I will call Steves Pizza and make reservations for 15-20.

 

put me in for a shirt with both 2XL on black if posible and a decal

OH Devin, I'm very sorry about your mom.
How's everything going now?
I hope she's home soon.

I'm kinda in the same boat. Christian will have brain surgery on Wednesday.
They just called today at noon, so I'm running around trying to figure what needs to be done.
I only have through monday, (tuesday is pre-op) to make arrangements for the other kids for a whole week. and everything else that needs to be done before we go.

 

Thanks Rhonda. My prayers are with you and Christian. Mom is home now, but still hurting and weak. I told her it will take some time for her to get her strength back, so it's just a waiting game right now.

About the t-shirts ...

I just heard form my t-shirt supplier and he can get them done by tomorrow morning. The only problem is, it's waaaaaaaayyyyyy more expensive to do them on colored t-shirts. Something technical that I didn't understand, so they will be in white. Sorry SMS, if you still want it, I will get it done for ya.

 

Oh Rhonda, I'm sorry to hear about Christian. If there's anything I can do or if you just need to talk, give me a ring.

I may not make the meeting on the 22nd, I have an event with the 501st that day. But the 31st looks wide open for the event.

I got my Wondercon Volunteer forms in the mail yesterday (I doubt I'll need them if we get the table). Woot for Wondercon!!!
