Census Odd or Even numbers?

Dude, you can't divide by zero... anything divided by zero is undefined.

 

I'm not dividing by zero. I'm dividing by 2.

Zero divided by Two.

 

Okay, but why would you want to divide zero by two? Seems like a pointless waste of time.

 

Because you define an even number by their ability to be divided by 2 and give you an integer as an answer. In order to find out if zero is even, it needs to pass that test. It does. 0 divided by 2 is 0. 0 is an integer.

So you don't understand that 0 is an integer? Or you don't understand that if something, when divided by 2 gives you an integer, is even? Or you're just being obstinate because you were wrong?

 

Okay take any whole number you want. If you want to find out whether it is even or not, you divide it by zero. If there isn't a remainder, it's even.

 

Uh... I'm saying I've always had difficulty with math, and that's probably why I never went into a math related field. No need to patronize, man... relax. Geez.

You can divide by zero in all sorts of contexts, as long as you're doing it carefully and/or calling it ɛ^2.

Oh man.... college alg... nightmares, flashbacks. I cried (sobbed) tears of joy when I finished that class (it about killed me, but I did it ).

See, the thing with me is I don't think in numbers, I think in words. It's really difficult for me to think in numbers. I'm definitely more 'right-brained.'
