Do any of you know if the Radisson has any affordable food for lunch? Or if there is anything good in the area? At the hotel would be preferable, as I would rather not walk into a McDonald's in my costume.

the hotel has one restaurant and it's not "cheap"

But I'll make a deal with you. I'll make a lunch run to any local place you want, as long as you know what you want from there beforehand.

There's BK, McD's, Arby's and Cousin's Subs close by, as well as some other places. The mall food court is close too, and you know what places are in those.

Fast food galore, but there are other places too.

We can get together and figure it out there. :)

Going into McD's or other establishments in costume is what we used to refer to as "freaking out the mundanes".

If at least one other of you is dressed up I'll go out but I don't want to be the only one freaking out the mundanes.

Does anyone know if they are doing a costume contest at all on Saturday? There was something on Oddcon's programming site about masquerade awards, but that wasn't until 8:30 at night and I'm not sure I want to sit around sweating in leather all day. Otherwise I'm changing earlier.

I had a great time and I'm looking forward to hanging out at Filmcon 5. Tonight I'll upload the pictures and post them on my yahoo album if anyone is interested. I'm even more psyched for C3 now. I think most of you have my cell phone number, otherwise pm me or look for me on instant messenger if you want to exchange before C3.

it was a great time. educational too.

There wasn't nearly as many costumes as there was for Filmcon 4. I have a feeling FilmCon 5 will have more too.

I would go again to a .5 convention. OddCon is interesting, but add FilmCon to it and you get so much more.

I signed up for FilmCon 5 already.

Only problem is that Filmcon got me too worked up for C3. Finding any motivation at work this week is proving to be difficult. This is going to be a long week.

I definitely know what you mean.

Of course, work is usually like that for me all the time. [face_laugh]
