This is our wacky happy social thread for off-topic discussion. Though you are still welcome to discuss fan films and filmmaking here if you like.

The TOS is still in effect, however; this is not a thread for spamming, profanity, spoilers or anything else like that.

    Have fun!

The mod sort of has to be first, so the thread can be unstickied (not sure exactly why it has to be that way, it just does).

So if you had been first, I'd have had to zap your post... or lock the thread and start social thread 4.1

EDIT: And yeah, stickiness takes a while for the server to get used to. I promise you this thread is stickied and it will stay that way within 15 minutes.

I still think "How not to make Lightsabers" would have been good. But hey, this is good too.

Oh well, I'm going to quit semi-spam like stuff and toddle off to bed.

We need to spam for at elast the first page. (Err, at 25 posts a page.) It's like breaking in a pair of shoes. You have to do a lot of things to them.

    Eew...

It's too bad we can't have an identity crisis in here like it's so easy to do in IRC.

    That'd be fun.

I must mourn the death of my old OT thread.

A moment of silence for the Forest of the Sith.

I must admit, I too am a fan of the cheese. Especially in cake form.

Saw Hitchhiker's Guide. I didn't think my expectations were that high, but I was still disappointed.

I got a kick out of seeing the stuff onscreen, I smiled most of the film, but I didn't laugh like I do when I read the books.

Oh well. Kudos to them for trying.

I just came from seeing 'Hitchhiker' as well... in fact the seat next to The Dorkman's. I liked it a bit more than he, I suppose partly because I haven't read the books and avoided spoilers, etc, so it was all novel to me (pardon the pun). I felt like I watched a bunch of absurd/funny stuff happen and then it sort of ended, but I hear that's how the books and stuff are, which is a style that lends itself to the written word more than moving pictures. But I definitely thought it was a fun watch.
