Not having access to your own computer for a month, after having its return promised to take place within three days.

Whoa, that happened to you too?

:Sigh: I'm devistated. I just learned that I have a drama performance on May 19th and the 20th, meaning my parents probably won't let me go to the midnight showing of Episode III. Anyone have any good ways to... er... change my parents decision?

Aside from threatening their pathetic little lives...

Tell them that Wednesday will be a big old nap, so you'll have enough energy. Then follow through on it- catch some Z's during the day.

    Wot,

Hey. Wot. Isn't that the redhead in A Knight's Tale?
    //random

Anyway.. I was a junior when episode II came out, and my parents were still at the point where I wasn't supposed to be out past 11. (Wasn't SUPPOSED to be, mind you, but that's another story.)

To convince them to let me go, I had to agree to a few conditions:
1)I'd go with a group (which I was already.)
2)Someone's parents drive so we didn't have to at around 2am.
3)I go to school the next day.

Drama performance is a little different, as you will want plenty of rest/sleep for that.
If you think you can manage, all you gotta do is compromise with the 'rents.

    It's worth a shot.
It's only the last Star Wars movie, after all.

    EDIT: Ew, new thread.

    Ew, no head.

    Yay, HHGG soundtrack!

Just because someone tried to send me the opening song (which I won't even title, so as not to spoil people), but it was an encrypted iTunes file. Since I tried 2 hours to convert it, and couldn't on my computer. So I caved in, threw on my coat, and took the 45 minute walk to Wal-Mart and spent 15 bucks for 33 tracks. Yay!

I've been listening to the soundtrack all weekend. Sometimes I just play the "Journey of the Sorcerer" cover over and over.

    Holy CRAP I'm a geek.

I'll have to go to Amazon and check that soundtrack out.

Why didn't I think of that before?
    Cripes.

    I blame you.

    Get it.

    I'm listening to "Vote Beeblebrox".

    It is amazing.

    That is all.

    Well, no, it's not.

Song lyrics below. Soundtrack spoiler, I guess.

Zaphod Beeblebrox for President (President) (President!)
    Building bridges between the stars
In no way is he stupid
In no way is his brain impaired
    It's just not true
    He's smarter than you
    And he's better looking, too

No, it's not in the book (or the movie, for that matter). There's a fair amount of new stuff in the movie, keeping it fresh for all of us.

As for Hitch, I kinda still want to see it just to try and find Bertocci as an extra. I'll rent it sometime.

    You and me both.

The DVD comes out this June, I should learn how to make DVD screencaps with a Mac and then rent the flick or somethin'.

Ah, my first post in the new social thread. So I have to write a graduation poem for creative writing...right now. I'm in Digital Media at the college right now and back at the high school we have a messed up schedule today. I have no idea when 3rd period starts so I don't know when I have to leave here. I must write a damn poem in less than an hour.

    *Goes to find Vapor*

I just installed Direct X 9 on my secondary Windows machine. It was necessary to do this because DivX won't work without it.

I installed DirectX FROM MS's site. They ran some sort of verification to ensure I was using a valid OS. It installed Adware on my machine!

Niiiiiiice... Took me about an hour to manually remove all the crap it put in.

Friggin Microsoft is allowing this to happen, people. And you all wonder why I think they are evil?

I don't know, back in 03, Krap was supposed to come up and help me with my film. He couldn't make it at the last minute because of bronchitis or something. Haven't heard from him since.

Well, no, I saw *one* post on here since then.

I've just noticed that Fig has removed me from his 'watched users' list. So I'm down to 11 now.

I feel almost like he's broken up with me.
