Off of the Topic: Social Thread v4.0

So I spent my Memorial Day weekend where it wasn't Memorial Daey weekend. Filming in Canada with Primrodo. Also went, at 5 in the morning, to the parking garage near him so that Bryan (stoyboy) can belt out that the top of his lungs, "Brothers an sisters, a great plague has befallen us!" as a prophet for my film.

Good times. Oh, and set construction in 3 hours. Wow... so awesome...

 

anyone know whats going on with the Inside Report website? i keep getting a 'Page Cannot Be Displayed' error message. are they just updating the site or is it a dead site now?

 

You guys are all biters.

Ahoy, don't think this warrants a new thread...

I'm making a medieval movie, and the main villian is a dragon. I am doing it stop motion.

This is my first stop motion so any advice? Like 'em, if I make him out of plasticine, do I give him a wire skeleton inside, or just solid plasticine? Stuff like that - I really have no idea what I'm doing (haven't done stop motion since I was 4).

Here's the thing: If you're driving a truck, hauling a fifth wheel trailer-type thing, you don't need to jump a curb, cut across three lanes of traffic, and nearly cause a massive pileup to get where you're going! In fact, if you're dumb enough to be attempting said manuever, I sincerely hope that you get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, with no cell phone reception, and . . . . GAH!!



Just go home. No one wants idiots on the road. Ever. So, if you don't know what the frell you're doing, just stay home.

I saw, among other bands, Skid Row in New Hampshire yesterday.

It was fun, and I hurt today. Hurrah.1

 

I went to buy an Obi action figure this afternoon, only to discover that the only Episode III Obi figures all have this stupid "slashing attack" you do by squeezing the legs together. I just want to a solid "cool" action figure, like most of the ones they had when Ep I came out. Of course, he's probably just going to go on top of my monitor but still...

 

I kinda wish the EP3 Yoda figure wasn't so "clone warsy"...the face just doesn't match the movie all that well IMO.

 

hey, I need a program that will let me record my voice for some voiceovers.... can FCP do this for me? Is there anything i can get for free or you think i may have something already and not know it that can do this for me?

I noticed that too. I mean, they already released a Yoda that was specifically a "Clone Wars" figure, the least they could do would be make him look like he did in the movie.

 

I am here to tell the sad story of our dear friend, Nathaniel Caauwe (DMPjedi). Yesterday this poor soul was banned. He recieved an e-mail that said: "You'll be unbanned after a 24 hour period, approximately 9 PM EST on Monday." Well... it is 9:20ish central time. He has sat in the corner long enough! REVOLUTION!!!!

...or something.

 

Y'gotta ask to be unbanned.
