    We're taking orders. ;)

    Sorry, we just couldn't resist, haha. Really, I would be proud to wear anything screaming my allegiance to the OFF and Star Wars, regardless of it's appearance, because the fact that the shirt would actually, FINALLY exist would make it awesome enough. :) Melanie and I just haven't done much dabbling in the matter seriously because we're not really active in the OFF aside from posting on the boards and we were just fine with the Wookiee, lol. But you're right, people need to be more constructive on the matter if they want anything to come of this discussion, but until then, we got the Wookiee. [face_peace]

    I did some more doodling with MS Paint the other day. Here is something more basic. Of course the colors could be changed and OFF lettering can be added in. Sound off...

    Sweet MS painting. Perhaps would make for a good shirt. But maybe not a "Star Wars Fan" shirt. Now, honest question here, are you trying to steer away from "nerd" in this whole t-shirt design. Just curious. If so, you might have a problem designing something that everyone would agree on. The OFF shirt needs to scream "nerd". But anyways, aside from that random question. Again, sweet MS doodle. But in my opinion it doesn't give off the right fanforce spirit!

    It has nothing to do with trying to steering away from "nerd" so much as it is about producing a design that reflects the Oregon Star Wars fan base. We have already established that the use of LFL trade marked items is not an option for the OFF design. This has been mentioned so many times it is beginning to sound like a broken record.

    The only thing I can see an issue with is the use of so many colors. In the past, merch items for the costuming clubs that I have been in have tried to keep the design down to four colors, or less. This saves on cost for the production of said merch (literature letterhead, patches, t-shirts, hoodies and the like).

    But, yeah, it does give off that Oregon feel to the FanForce - it has mountains, trees and rivers (ok, so it is just one river), all things that accurately reflect the spirit of Oregon.

    Crash... you are so evil!

    How about "O.F.F. with your head!" or "O.F.F. to see the Wizard!" 8-}

    Or "DARE to keep nerds O.F.F. Wookies!" [face_shame_on_you]

    Somehow, I am thinking the franchise would frown upon that. Dare, typically, has been the anti-drug program for kids for the past 25 years, or so. Lumping "Dare" in with Wookiees, or anything associated with the Star Wars universe, or franchise could be looked upon in a very negative light.

    Thanks, man. We should really just throw out ideas of what we like and don't like. Compile a list and see what we can create.

    I had an idea about using the State of Oregon as a backdrop with three beavers (because this is the beaver state) centered on the backdrop. Each beaver has a letter on it's side: O.F.F.

    I am going to play with MS Paint and see what I can come up with.

    As promised.....

    I went with the yellow (supposed to be more of a gold, but gold isn't an option on MS Paint) background, with the color of the State of Oregon in blue. As you may know, the colors of Oregon are blue and gold. And it is the beaver that is on the back of the State flag. Which is why I came up with this concept.

    Obviously, the colors can be changed around. These are simple designs that would make the production of the shirts more cost effective, since there are fewer colors than the other ones I posted.

    That's Wookiee.... and yes, I would because, not only is it easier to get it authorized, but it also actually has a tangible reflection our Oregonian fanbase.

    Wookiees are perfect for Kashyyyk Base (The Oregon chapter of the Rebel Legion) because it fits both wth the base name and our region.

    But I could meet you half-way... we could always throw a Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti on the logo and see how that would fair. Bigfoot is synonomous with the Oregon Territory. But then again, Sansweet may thing we are trying to press the Wookiee endorsement and that could hinder things.

    Catch 22....

    The beaver does not reflect Oregonians! It reflects all the football loving cattle who are too culturally drunk to realize how retarded the concept of pasting the representation of a beaver on their cars, shirts, hats, lives really is! Ah the human psyche... needs to have something to follow to be apart of what we have named "society"! I'll have none of that big toothed creature pasted anywhere on my body to possibly communicate my following this herd of American culture! Peh! Neh! I stomp ze meaningless game to the ground! Did anyone really have a problem with any of these?

    [image=http://www.grumpydevil.com/comps/off_treatments.jpg]

    I thought they were great, and they just kinda got swept under the big OFF rug. Nothing to worry about legally, doesn't look tacky, and no "It's Good!" (:(). Eh?

    And really, if we're worried about the Wookiee, why aren't we worried about THIS:

    I don't think that those designs were "thrown under the rug"; it's just that we haven't gotten back to discussing what we want our shirts to look like. Also, we're still coming up with new ideas for logos.
