Can you bring airsoft guns to Comic-Con for a costume prop?

 

What I don't like is when they say something is "exclusive", and it becomes available after the con on another site or store...for cheaper!

there are so many I want but only one I have to have on that list... and a few others I am picking up for friends.

I was actually buying more stuff for other people out of town than for me. I did get one of the Shocktrooper bust/bust-up sets but it was only one purchase per show, and I'd wanted to buy two . Thanks to a miracle and help from an ACME booth guy who must've felt sorry for me, I scored a Sidious key cel. I pre-ordered Sith Anakin, so no trouble there. I shipped all of those items out of town (but kept the Sideshow hat, heh heh). The only exclusives I kept for myself were the flaming Vader Bust Up and the semi-exclusive Anakin key cel from ACME. Oh, and I got a free poster from Official Pix.

The exclusives thing is out of control if you ask me. It sucks having to stand in line or having daily allotments run out in five minutes. At least Sideshow had the right idea. Buy what you want in advance, pick it up with no fuss.

MissPadme, thank you for taking those pictures at the fan club breakfast.

If you need help, i.e. an unpunched badge, buying Con exclusives in the future, let me know. I seldom buy those.

 

Or have it shipped for non-attendees I've done that two years in a row now. Of course, I think the difference is that Sideshow wants the collectors to get the merchandise, not the scalpers. The other dealers, whether they know it or not, are actively encouraging the scalpers by doing it the way they do.

I agree, I hate all of the scalping and stuff. Sideshow got a lot of flak from "speculators" when they had inclusive ordering for the Darth Maul 12", but I thought it was a great idea: every collector and fan who wanted a doll got one. I wish they'd do it for all of their 12" dolls though.
