I just wish my IMAX theater had shown it. I'd been there every weekend. *sighs*

    Cool :)

    AOTC:TIE take...

    $1,013
    -33.6% / $253
    $8,459,021 / 152

That's a little lower than I hoped for. It dropped from 5 screens to 4, but last Tuesday it made $600 more on that same amount.

Well...if the screen count remains the same for Wednesday, I'd hope for the take to keep above $1,000. Anything less would be a shame.

    AOTC:TIE Wednesday figures...

    $1,153
    13.8% / $231
    $8,460,174 / 153

Still not huge, but it kept over $1,000 so that's about par. It went up to 5 screens, I hope it keeps that for Thursday. I'll hope for about $1,500.

AOTC has been out for nearly a year, and has been out on DVD for five months, yet it still does more than $1,000 dollars at IMAX.

People sure hate this film ;)

There are much less expensive and more convenient ways to see AOTC, yet people are still shelling out money for the IMAX.

Yeah, they hate it, all right. ;)

I'd love to see the IMAX version one day.

The IMAX edition really was incredible. I wish it was released wider and world wide so others had a chance to marvel at it.

I'll just have to settle for marvelling at the continuing cashflow for AOTC [face_mischief]

(Was that okay, Mr. Lucas? I can be a Bith extra in Ep3? Great, thanks!)

Gah! DamonD changed his icon on me! :p

Oh well, glad to see AOTC is still making money at the box office.

Why, YJ, what's the problem with my new icon?

    As for AOTC:TIE...

Well, it dropped a screen (down to 4) so that affected things. I was hoping for more like $1,500, so don't be surprised of AOTC:TIE takes a dip from last weekend. A $15k weekend would be good.

And here are the current figures I have, as of last weekend. I update them every Monday.

    IMAX TOTAL AFTER 22 WEEKS : $8,456,483
    AOTC FIRST-RUN US CINEMA TOTAL : $302,191,252
AOTC INTERNATIONAL CINEMA TOTAL : $337,381,454 as of 24th Feb 2003

AOTC US BOX OFFICE TOTAL AS OF 30.3.03 : $310,647,735
AOTC WORLDWIDE BOX OFFICE TOTAL AS OF 30.3.03: $648,029,189

There's nothing wrong with your new icon, I just was used to the old one. :p

Attack of the Clones: The IMAX
    Experience
    $11,297
    -40.5%
    Theatre Average $2,259

A pretty big drop from last weekend. Still the theatre average is decent. Looks like we may be seeing the triple digit weekdays soon.

Well, it's still not the actual Luke one I want, but I'm waiting for that to be uploaded...waiting and waiting and... :)

    AOTC:TIE weekend total - $11,297

    FRIDAY
    $3,767
    241.8% / $753
    $8,465,043 / 155

    SATURDAY
    $5,523
    46.6% / $1,105
    $8,470,566 / 156

    SUNDAY
    $2,007
    -63.7% / $401
    $8,472,573 / 157

Lots of bad falls for films this weekend. I guess people aren't really in the mood to go to the cinema much or something. AOTC:TIE also dropped 2 screens, down from 7 to 5.

    IMAX TOTAL AFTER 23 WEEKS : $8,472,573
    AOTC FIRST-RUN US CINEMA TOTAL : $302,191,252
AOTC INTERNATIONAL CINEMA TOTAL : $337,381,454 as of 24th Feb 2003

AOTC US BOX OFFICE TOTAL AS OF 6.4.03 : $310,663,825

    AOTC:TIE Monday figures...

    $1,668
    -16.9% / $417
    $8,474,241 / 158

Very nice, that's the best Monday per-screen average in a month. If it had more screens than 4, it would've been the highest Monday in a month as well, but it's still the second highest. If Tuesday can keep to at least 4 screens and make around $1,200, that'll look good for this week.

    AOTC:TIE Tuesday figures...

    $1,227
    -26.4% / $409
    $8,475,468 / 159

Good, that's on target for what I was hoping. Anything around $1,400 for Wednesday would also be good news.

That's terrible, but that's what happens when it drops to only 2 screens. What on earth happened to the others?

Unfortunately, it isn't playing at any theaters within a couple hours of where I live. At least, I don't think it is.

I'm astounded it's still playing anywhere at all.

The movie has been available on DVD since November.

AOTC has been playing in theaters, Imax or otherwise, non-stop since in premiered last May.

    Almost an entire year?!

    Amazing!

    AOTC:TIE Thursday figures :

    $133
    -11.3% / $133
    $8,475,751 / 161

Well, what an odd week so far. After making over $2,800 during Monday and Tuesday, the screen count has just hurtled down today and yesterday. Only 1 screen for today. I don't have a clue what it's gonna make this weekend, because of this screen variation.
