yankee: I don't think Robben will play on Friday, he's still training separately and Huntelaar is also injured (for those who have him).

Well then Kuyt it wil likely be. That would also free up another Euro or so for transfers for match day 3.

EDIT: And Anni, making these picks is definitely tough. I'd never done a football fantasy league before, either. I thought I could do OK, since I know alot of the players, but I'm getting clobbered.

I was too late, I didn't have time to do my transfers before this round, so I guess I'll drop down to the last.

And Ronaldo took the cake today. Great stuff, especially given that I chose him as my captain on MD2. That's 26 points for the round, and the preservation of his place for MD3.

    And speaking of MD3...

I've already rung some changes. I wouldn't have normally done it, but seeing how I heard that Huntelaar is hurt to an as-of-yet unspecified degree, I was pre-empted into a squad change.

Most of my later moves were done to accomodate Huntelaar's replacement (three guesses who).

    So:

HUNTELAAR for (that aforementioned dude in the Spain #7 shirt...)
    CASILLAS for PLETIKOSA
    KRANJCAR for SNEIJDER
TUNCAY for MEHMET TOPAL (some cheap Turkish dude who costs 2 mil less)

Going 4-3-3 with the Turkish guy riding the pine. Let's see if Ronaldo, Fabregas, (Spain #7), Klose, and Sneijder (my "Fab 5" in attack) can get the points...

    Specterace

I'm still missing a couple of usernames to match with teams, guys. Let me know, or you'll forfeit your colours if you end up winning the competition.

I've already made my changes and now Scholari is resting most of the Portugese squad, so I will probably have to use my wild card instead of one of those players already in the first match.

Portugal first out at the last 8. If any of you (like me) have a rather large amount of Portugal players in your team, time to boot them out for the semis.

I don't know how I'M not in last place, I was away without internet access, so I couldn't change my squad for the quarters. My front line (Podolski, Villa and Pavlyuchenko) kept me alive, though barely.

I guess I'm doing okay. And that perhaps fantasy futbol is like fantasy football in that the more you know, the less you know, and the less you know, the better you do. :p
