Ok I went back through 5 pages and didn't see this so here it goes. If this has been discussed please post a link thanks

Kit Fisto and Ayla Secura for sure live. Bultar Swan and Shaki Ti also. Of course Yoda Plo Mace Ki Anakin Obi Wan as well.
I saw either Luminari or Barris. Which one was it or did they both live? I am fond of them both and kept getting confused.

There were also Jedi fighting in the battle outside the arena afterwards. I thought that whole battle was weird. It just came out of nowhere... behind the stadium there was all this stuff we had no idea was there and then everyone just starts going at it. It would have been better if they had set that stuff up a few scenes earlier. What were those things Anakin told the pilot to shoot out? Anywho, it just emerged out of nowhere. It was like, Hey we rescued all the Jedi. Oh look, there's a whole army right behind this wall, lets fight!!!!

    Hey, sorry for my ignorance...
    Who is Barris?

Anyway... it seemed that all the ones in the circle survived.

Well for sure, some of the Jedi must have survived. But why did they removed all the chairs in the Jedi Counsil but Master Yoda's?

Where there any jedi on one of those Gunships that blew up? Count those guys as gone.

Also, One Jango shoots who tries to get at Dooku, does that guy have a name?

I know that some of the council members had left with the cloone trasports for the other side of the arena, but we almost never see them later in that commotion at all. Empty Jedi Council gives me the creeps.
(By the way I re-uploaded the pictures, hope they are working now)

I thought that was pretty funny when that Jedi nose-dives off the balcony. I dunno, to me, as much as I loved the entire film and that scene as well -- having a bunch of Jedi in a big saber battle like that and seeing so many get knocked around, also kinda weakens the grand mystical element of the Jedi. As much as I love seeing the rise and fall and birth of all the characters in the PT, it was pretty cool to watch the OT, and in ANH when Obi-Wan speaks of "The Clone Wars," as some ancient grand thing. It was cool back then, to imagine-- wow an army of Jedi slugging it out! And then you see it, and sadly as good as Lucas will ever do it. It just always seemed bigger, grander..somehow. Probably just cause we could only imagine it and not see it, and less is always more.

    What'dya think?

I disagree- the Jedi seem to be doing quite well considering the circumstances. A few unamed Jedi even get a few licks in. Several get taken out at once by explosive Genasian blaster thingy's. Blasters they can deal with, but when they start getting SHELLED it gets to be a little more difficult.

One thing that bugs me is, if so many badass jedi died, how the hell did amadala survive the whole thing, with just a blaster?

She survives by MOVING HER CUTE LITTLE BEHIND, and keeping her head down. She shoots the bad guys before they get her, instead of trying to deflect everything that comes her way. Padme survives two different portions of the battle:

PORTION ONE: The Jedi are holding their own for a while- until even more droids get into the arena. She uses the charriot to get around and avoid being hit by artillery, while Anikan keeps the blaster fire off of her by jumping on. She also uses the surviving mosters to her advantage as a kind of cover.

PORTION TWO: Padme rides to the center of the Jedi formation and dismounts. Now she uses Jedi Lightabers for protection, as she stays behind them. She picks off the droids further back, trying to minimize artillery fire. Jedi deflections take out droids closer up. She would not have lasted much longer had the clones not arrived though.

ALSO she is a slightly VERY important character.

It's so simple as to how Padme survived the arena gimpy:

Agressive Negotiations! Never underestimate the power of a Senator adn a gun ( or Charlton Heston for that matter!).

I know she had to survive because she is such an important character, but seriously, i think she should have atleast been wounded heavily or something, to show her weakness compared to the jedi. WAsn't it also completely lame how she kicked that monster animal thing and knocked the wind out of it?

When she kicked the Nexu - as its called - she didn't just kick- she used he momentum from a swing on the chain- and caught it upside the head I believe, that combined with the fact that it fell several meters to the ground was concincing to shake it up to me. Padme gets wounded enough by the Nexu to pass for wounds. She also gets knocked out of the gunship. I think that smarted a little.

Also try to look at the droids as programable machines. The droids are concentrating their efforts on Jedi. Use 3po's comments as proof of that.

Padme doesn't die because Anakin and the other Jedi deflect bolts away from her. He is the senator of naboo and it is their responsibility to protect her.
The jedi went there to rescue Ani, Obi, and Padme, not to fight a war.
They held off the droids for as long as it took Yoda and the Troopers to bring down the ships.

Before AOTC and before the spoilers and trailers. I used to think and I beleive the old rumor was that the clone wars consisted of the Jedi battling an army of mandalorians (not that I know what exactly a mandalorian is, please fill me in) ie an army of Boba Fetts, when it leaked that he was a clone. I pictured hundreds of Bobas against Jedi. After seeing Jango do quite well even in his death, a few hundred would have been an awesome scene, better than the droids.

Perhaps the empty JC was GL's attempt at a 'sublte' foreshadow?

It was also strange that the almighty Jedi didn't look good as they were billed during the fight, and their skills and senses were supposedly diminished yet that did't stop Ani from leaping out of their ride and fall a few hundred feet and manage to grasp onto another speeder.

Skywalk - Chalton Heston is a MAJOR supporter for the NRA (Natoinal Rifflemans Association) or was he president? anyways he has taken a publicity beating from USA press for a lot of ignorant comments about gun control

Calypso - Why don't you and me go hoe-checking at the popular Twi'lek hangout. Dont' forget Jabba's dancer who 20 years later still looked good and one or two other photos I've seen, they are some damn fine looking women or something

Dooku to the blue Twi'lek: "How YOU doin'?"
