I think a game host should have a title but not a VIP status. At least not a Trivia host. I lost my host title when I entered the game.

Seriously, nashira, just give it up and resign. Holding on at this point just makes you look (more) pitiful. You're putting the administration in the difficult position of having to grow a pair and actually demote you and that's just sad to see.

seriously, guys. we don't need the PM/online links. just give us the profile links. first off, it's supercluttered. second off, there are times when you just want the profile. and you can figure out if they're online AND pm from that page - it works great!

was there a reason it was changed again? because it was originally that way, and then, at user request, it was changed to the profile links - why did you change it back?

 

At least take the online link off beside nashira, it's just embarrassing.

For the record, none of them are currently associated with the base. Katya left around two years ago, and Dashy left a while ago as well. Malkie left well before he was promoted, and droideka left (I believe) last week. So even if droideka's nomination happened while she was at the base, none of the nominating moderators were part of the base at that time.

Rumors as to who currently is and/or ever were a part of the base tend to be full of flaws. For example, I've heard various rumors about my own association with the Base, but I have less than 10 posts there. My posts there happened over about 2 weeks, and I haven't logged in since January. Actually, I probably have about thee same number of posts there as I do at the Fecal Force boards, and the FF would probably totally agree with the statement that I am not, nor have I ever been, a part of their group.

 

Is that place not dead yet? I thought we killed it a year ago.

I haven't been to DB for over a year, and probably more like two years. I don't even know where it is anymore.

But I've heard people still associating me with the place.

Sith_Wench, are you going to ***** every time someone becomes a mod just because there are other people who would be good mods? Because if so that's going to get old fast.

As that is also one of my favorite passtimes, I do not begrudge Sith_Wench the opportunity to complain to her heart's content about whomever is promoted.

As to the alleged nepotism, those of us who frequent the OT boards (not the DB, which for all intents and purposes is a bastion of human debris) are very selective about our membership -- with the exception of Jobo, he was grandfathered in with YodaJefff. By nature, there are going to be a disproportionate number of mods coming from our members, as they are some of the best users of the JC. Some join before, some join after promotion. Don't be jealous of those who are better than you, strive to become like them.

 

So? Jim, do I have to wait ?til I'm also old and wrinkled to be as supercilious and arrogant as you or is there some sort of correspondence course I can take?

But I'll note that most of the comments concerning JC-FF relations in the new mod thread are mistaken.
