I can't wait until he finally shows up. I hope they make him a badass only second to Cad Bane in terms of badassedness int he show. :p

The reason I made this thread is because I had this weird dream last night that a new episode of TCW came on and it featured Bossk. In the dream he's stalking a group of clone troopers, and when a clone backed against a wall, he smashed his arms through the wall and crushed the clone's head with his hands.

Yes, I've been anticipating the Trandoshan's appearance as well...and skull crushing clones would be the awesome!

I want him to be like he was in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. Big, ferocious, deadly, but also bumbling, outwitted and cartoony.

Sort of like Team Fortress 2's Heavy Weapons Guy. Big, dumb and lovable, but piss him off and you're in for a world of pain.

I certainly hope he has and expanded role unlike ESB where he just stood there.

WOW, that vid rocked! [face_laugh]

Bossk going against clone troopers with aforementioned brutal force?! I definitely wouldn't mind to see that in a CW episode... ;) Looking forward to the Trandoshan's appearance! :D

Trippy-- Bossk plays guitar right-handed, and yet uses a left-handed guitar! Maybe it has something to do with having his middle fingers fused together.

Well what is everyone's evaluation of the Baddest Bounty hunter second only to Fett in the galaxy? I thought he could have been more like the quote above and had more action. Instead he took orders from Aurra Sing. All in all will we see him in season 3? If so, will he be scary mean or just sit there and take orders?

I think so. At least, Dave Filoni regreted the lack of action from Bossk (which is understandable, now that he explained it). I guess it's safe to assume that Bossk will have great action sequences in the future. :)

Yeah, if they could have made the episode longer they would have had this epic fight scene between Plo Koon and Bossk. Probably with Plo Koon winning, but I wonder how difficult they would have made it for him. [face_thinking]

Bossk is a very cool bounty hunter, but I don't think intelligence and mastermind plotting are his strong suits. More along the lines of animal cunning and instincts. Still, he's definitely one antagonist I'd like to see in action. Maybe in the future, when there aren't so many guys hogging the limelight.

He was definately underused in the episodes, hopefully we'll see him used to his potential later. I'm guessing we will, potentially starting with a "prison break" arc - it's gonna happen, I can feel it.

I really didn't like what they did with Bossk in the series. I just felt that they made him break away from what we grew to know him as in the OT, not to mention the obvious use of Basic. Not much of a silent killer anymore thanks to those few episodes.

Oh yeah. Those were the days.

Officer 1: Bounty hunters...we don't need their scum!
    Officer 2: Yeah!
-The camera pans up slowly to Bossk as he gives the officers a sadistic glare, snaps his fingers, taps his toes, winks, and hisses incomprehensibly at them.-
    Subtitles: (Speaking 'alien language')
    Officer 1: (swoons)
    Officer 2: (screams in terror)
Boba: (shoves Bossk away) Out of my way, you're cutting into my awesomeness. (the Imperial Officers groan disappointedly)

I do agree that he wasn't given a very memorable look beyond a possibly henpecked thug who needs the creds, but seriously, the guy does even LESS than Boba Fett. What DO we know from the OT? It's not a great first look, I know, but there's virtually NIL to compare him to in the movies.

It is true that we don't know a ton about him, the EU aside, but I just thought that he was shown in a more badass light in the OT. You know, a man of few words that delivers results...usually. I never thought of him as a ratty thug, just very reserved outside of doing his job. The Bossk that we saw in this series, however, just chopped that perception to bits. He's not quite as interesting now from my perspective. I'd love to give him the chance to redeem himself in future seasons though.

Just compare him to Boba Fett. The Boba that we saw in the OT was, for the most part, silent but deadly. I don't quite think that the series butchered him, but you could see lines of what was to come; with Bossk, it's all flat. The mystery that was once to him is now gone. Bossk just is. No development, just a dissection.

I was chuckling a little at the revelation that Bossk was an Average Joe of the criminal underworld. [face_laugh]
Still, I get where you're coming from. After all, if Bossk is hanging with Fett's crew and hired by the Empire, one can infer that he is indeed a powerful bounty hunter.
Which is why I, being a shameful optimist, am also inferring that if he's being tabbed by the dangerous, deadly Aurra Sing to hunt Jedi, he MUST be good. I know this point holds a lot less water since they not only don't do much but fail in the end, but still, it's a start. :p

As I've brought up, Filoni commented that they originally planned an awesome fight between Bossk and Plo Koon, so I don't think we have to worry about 'he hates the character'. Dave's evasive when it comes to revealing information, but he's a fun guy who loves characters, so I'd say optimism is actually a fair bet for the future. :D

This is just another example of why the Boba trilogy was badly written. They should have known fan anticipation for Bossk was huge, so the fact that he doesn't do squat in any of THREE episodes (one hour+ of screentime!) is extra extra extra disappointing.

With three episodes they could have easily written in a few good moments for Bossk. They could have been short even, as long as Bossk kicked some ass. Instead we get Artoo heroics, and not for the first time either. They'd better left out Bossk altogether, because they're not making him look good.

I disagree. The shows were about Boba so I don't know why there was so much anticipation for Bossk. The fact that he's there is cool enough! ESB is like 2+ hours and he got even less screen time so why so upset?

As far as Boba's story is concerned I think it was handled well as I was curious what exactly happened to after the Geonosis battle. He certainly couldn't have made it on his own and hooking up with other bounty hunters will solidify his position in the future. I expect that he'll make major developments in season 3!

    Well here's what he did:

He planned revenge on Mace and failed!
    Tried again and failed again!
Tried a third time and got arrested!
He yelled 'You started it!' at Mace.

Wow, I couldn't have gone without all that. It's really mindblowing stuff. It's so genius I can hardly comprehend it.

    You can see him here:

He's probably present in a cut scene in which Yakface and Ree-Yees get into a fight and knock over C-3PO.
