Well, I'll be! Your Panters won their first game! Let the Celebration begin! :)

Honestly, now that your Panters are no longer NFC West (what was THAT about anyway?) I'm happily pulling for your boys in blue.

Man, you're nuts... somehow I just knew you'd do this after my comments in the Sanctuary ;)

Go Panthers... we actually won! :p

Now, who wants to place a bet we're going to suck the rest of the season and not win any more games? [face_plain] ;)

Phooey. No bet. I still have to wash the stench of a losing bet with R2Detroit from the NHL Stanley Cup going to the Detroit Red Wings.

I had to send them a bottle of JohnBoy and Billy BBQ Grillin' sauce.

I'll place bets on the Atlanta Braves, but never on the Atlanta Falcons. I don't like to throw money away. :p

Man, I remember when I was into college football 4 years or so ago and the Atlanta Falcons kicked some major arse...

Then I stopped watching altogether ;)

"Stand and cheer for the Panthers
Stand and cheer for the team
    The pride of the Carolinas
And the city of the Queen..."

(Can you tell that hubby dragged me to too many games once upon a time? :p )

Anyway, I'm definitely glad we seem to have some boys on our team this year who actually know what a football looks like. :D

I'm happy about it, also. Maybe now we'll attract more revenue for the stupid games... Maybe. Doubtful, but hey -- if they do start winning more, I may go to a Panther's game.

I love it that the Chargers have sucked the last couple of years because it was easy to get tickets to the games against the Niners, but they look good this year :( I may not get to see my Niners in person this year.

I used to be a Cowboys fan back in 98.. [face_blush]

Nowadays I don't have time to watch the games.

Well, it looks like your boys could start 2-0. Their next game is against Detroit after all :)

    Nice thread title change ;)

And I'm hoping they do decent. If they seriously do better, I'll start rooting for them again.

I'm depressed. They NIners supposedly made the turn back to the "good old ways". We have talent and depth. What is going on? *sigh*

    *sends KR a warm fuzzy*

Smile! They'll win next time! Maybe their day just sucked!

    James: *raspberry*

Funny--I thought the Panthers would win, because I fell asleep on the couch right before the game, and was awakened twice during the first quarter (or maybe the first half) by Art jumping up and down and yelling, "YES!"

I read in this week's sporting news that the Panthers may get Dwight Clark in their front office....Another tie to SF's former glory.

Well, I'll be! The Panters take the Vikes and are now 3-0! Is it time to start believing? Go Rodney Peete!

Parity in the NFL, the worst can be the best in less than 12 months. Bizarro. At least the Niners won...barely. They still do not look like the powerhouse team they are supposed to be. I don't like this offensive coordinator... He's too conservative.

You do realise we're the 'Panthers,' right?
