Starting Monday, March 21st, and continuing until Friday March 25th, we get Season 2 of the Clone Wars cartoon shorts!

These 5 episodes are longer - 12 minutes each instead of the previous 4-5 minutes.

There will be more character development.
    More Anakin and Obi-Wan.
    More direct tie-ins to ROTS.

Will Anakin get the respect he deserves?

Will Obi-Wan get the respect he deserves?

Will General Grievous get the respect he deserves?

Here's the schedule (from the OS):

    Monday, March 21st - Chapter 21
    * The ARC Trooper cavalry arrives on Hypori and Anakin Skywalker faces his fate before the Jedi Council. *

    Tuesday, March 22nd - Chapter 22
    * Anakin and Obi-Wan serve in the Outer Rim sieges. General Grievous trains under Count Dooku. SEASON ONE ON DVD!!! *

    Wednesday, March 23rd - Chapter 23
    * Coruscant is under Separatist attack, and Anakin and Obi-Wan are given a quest on an alien world. *

    Thursday, March 24th - Chapter 24
    * General Grievous infiltrates the heart of the Republic while Anakin finds a shocking secret on Neivaan. *

    Friday, March 25th - Chapter 25 - direct tie-in to ROTS!!
    * General Grievous achieves his sinister objective, and the action leads into the start of Episode III. *

Grievous stole the show in the last episode, so I can not wait to see more of him. The final episode (Friday's) apparently leads right into ROTS, so that should be really interesting.

I'm soooo excited for this. :D I wonder how the character development is going to go. I'm really glad that they decided to make that so important this time, it was much harder to do with the shorter episodes in Season 1.

I just wish they would have turned this into a real series. A full season, half hour episodes. That would have been great, they could have covered the entire Clone Wars.

nah, keep the audience wanting more.[face_laugh]

We'll see - they won an Emmy for Season 1, if Season 2 is as popular, maybe we'll see more SW stuff from Genndy & Co post-ROTS.

    On Cartoon Network 7pm Pacific/Eastern.

Check out Cartoon Network.com the day after each episode airs to watch online!

They're putting them online and I don't have to dredge through the Internet underground looking for Tivoed episodes (since I work during most of the airings)? Garth, you have brought me my happy news of the day.

    That was AWESOME!! :D

Love that character development! And little Ani and Qui-Gon... sweeeet.

Apparently we're skipping around in time. I can dig that.

is it me, or did that episode of clone wars season 3 seem to quench the thirst for ROTS? It was refreshing to see some new material that leads into the new movie

Yes, but what was up with the tree? Was it a vision that Yoda had? A twisted vision of the future, where he mixed up the Skywalkers and their teachers at the tree?

I question the tree as well....maybe we will see more in future episodes.

Overall not a bad lead in episode. I look forward to tomorrows.

It was actually quite the sweet episode. Even though there was some over-the-top action in the start w/ grevious vs the clones it turned to be very sweet and snuggly.
I really liked how they explained Threepio's new "do" and the Anakin-Padme relationship is progressing really well in these shorts. The 15 minute time does give more time for some emotion and I felt moved by the whole knighting and final minutes.

    Still left wanting more though!!
Would be really happy if they could make a seasoon of 30min episodes. This 15 minutes epi just zoomed along.

The knighting of Anakin was really, really cool. :D

But uh... anyone know what the deal was with the Qui-Gon/Anakin on Dagobah thing? They made it look like Yoda was seeing it, but then Anakin's comment about Qui-Gon...

... could be as in AOTC, where both Yoda and Anakin can hear what Qui-Gon is saying to them at the same time?

Edit... here's what I posted in SSSW:

I figure that between Yoda's look right after and Anakin's later reference to Qui-Gon, it's Qui-Gon giving them visions through the Force. In ATOC, when we heard Qui-Gon say "No, Anakin, noooo!" Yoda and Anakin both heard it.

Yoda knew later on that Anakin was ready to become a Knight, and it makes sense that he would have partially made up his mind from a vision from Qui-Gon.

I really liked it. Sure, the music was so funny and there were some really really corny parts... but overall it was pretty good.

    Oppo talked!!! :D :D :D

Anyone else find the 3PO stripper scene to be a bit... odd? :p

Yeah, the only thing I don't like about the cartoons is the cheesy MIDI music. Sounds like something from Gameboy. They should just use cuts from the soundtracks.

Grevious scurries like a little rat.
