Jedi don't use synthetic crystals, they use Kyber crystals. However, Sith do use Kyber crystals that "bleed" red. That's old news (see the Ahsoka novel, Catalyst).

Whoo that Old Man Logan / Maestro one is out, I'm so down.

Amazing Spider-Man ended it's big Norman Osborn arc (actually only 4 issues but packed with a lot of stuff). Had a satisfying Spidey vs. Norman throwdown at the end. Glad they got rid of the Osborn changing faces gimmick so now he looks like Norman but really, really deformed, which kind of works really cuz his face is perpetually twisted like the Goblin. He doesn't cackle as much as he did before, apparently the Goblin gas don't work on Norman no more. But he's still crazy and by the end he vows he wants to go Full Goblin again which will probably happen eventually.

Spider-Men II is coming out! I really wish they had just done this in the Miles Morales Spider-Man comic (which is having a pretty kickass arc lately) but anyway, it would be interesting because after Secret Wars there's basically a Miles Morales of two worlds thing going on which is apparently the crux of the mini.

    This week:

Weapons Of Mutant Destruction 1, and the awesome cover:

    X-Men Gold #6
Ultimates#8, accidentally saw a spoiler headline. *sigh*
    The Mighty Thor #20
    Invincible Iron Man 8
    Doctor Strange 22
    Daredevil 22
    Cap Steve Rogers 18.

Secret Empire 4 was a step back. It read like any other hero vs hero issue rather than Cap takes over the world.

LOL at that cover. Well, if anyone could possibly make that work it's Greg Pak and I'll politely leave it at that.

So if my luck holds I will meet Alejandro Jodorowsky in 3 weeks at the NYC premiere of his current movie.
Taking my super deluxe coffee table sized Incal and having him sign it is sadly a non-starter I'd think.

Just read the Warren Ellis Karnak trade paperback (series took a longggggg time to finish 6 issues to the trade) but, holy cats, it is astonishingly nihilistic. Karnak can see the flaw in all things and knows it, as he literally explode people with his fingertips via his studies of everything and he meets his match against someone who is seemingly altruistic and he just can't deal. Karnac may be the villain of the book. Engrossing read, though.

I'm regretting skipping out on the DC/Looney Tunes series (I thought they were just variant covers). Hope this gets reprinted in the trades.

Because of the stupid holiday I had to wait an extra day to get comics. [face_shame_on_you]

    This week:

    X-Men Gold 7
    All New Wolverine 22
    Predator Hunters 3
Iron Fist 5, this reboot of an older reboot which was rebooted another way is actually quite good.
    Black Bolt 3
    Daredevil 23
Seven To Eternity 7. There is some form of artist's over-sized sketch type book of the first issue for $25 out. I may consider it.

So, once again the comic con comes to where I live. This year's guests include Jack O'Halloran, Ray Park, David Yost, Allison Angrim, Rob Paulsen, Carol Spivney and two actors from "American Horror Story". Plus, looks like there will be four comic vendors this year.

I understand a comic vendor is not setting up this year because of the $18,000 fee.

Yeah, one of the oldest vendor. It doesn't help that they have about 4 to 5 times the size of the average vendor. Feel sad for them. I remember they were featured in that ComicCon documentary.

Bolded: Trying waiting weeks while Steve Epting took his brilliantly molasses time drawing issues of Captain America. [face_nail_biting]

Caught up on the current crossovers of awesomeness: Green Hornet/The Spirit and Batman/The Shadow. So far, so fairly brilliant.

Except that article is old and even the the image is real, he doesn't keep it. It's actually pretty good.
