I'm totally okay with Spider-Men II but I don't see why they aren't covering it in the main Spider-Man book and have to break it off as a mini. I think the main book has been good because Bendis has been doing a lot of Spidey vs. criminal underworld stuff which is some of my favourite bits from his original USM run. (and the Spider-Gwen crossover was real fun)

I'm probably won't read the Umbrella Academy, but I'll be sure the catch the Netflix series.

I'm about 6 months behind on my comic book reading, mostly because of daylight savings where we moved an hour ahead. I use to dedicate my morning train ride to work to reading comic books, but now I use that 45 minutes to take a little nap as I get up at 5am everyday.

One of the main characters spends most of the book with a gorilla body (but a human head), I'm stumped how they'll pull that off or even if it'll be that way.

Whoever they cast as the gal who becomes the White Violin is key because her arc is pretty heartbreaking.

But, yah, if this leads to a Vol. 3 of Umbrella Academy then I'm officially excited.

Why is no one talking about this?
    PUNISHER: THE PLATOON #1 & 2
GARTH ENNIS (W), GORAN PARLOV (A/C) VARIANT COVER BY STEVE MCNIVEN (ISSUE #1) VARIANT COVER BY ANDY BRASE (ISSUE #1) HOW-TO-DRAW VARIANT COVER BY CHIP ZDARSKY (ISSUE #1) VARIANT COVER BY SCOTT HEPBURN (ISSUE #2)
By the time the Punisher was born in Vietnam, Frank Castle had already become a dark legend of the battlefield. Stories about him were told in whispers, if at all. Now the legendary Punisher team of Garth Ennis and Goran Parlov (PUNISHER MAX, FURY MAX) brings the first of those stories to light: the tale of Frank Castle’s first command, and his first kill. Don’t miss this epic new series!

^ So where is Marco Checchetto? It would be great to see him do a prequel like that...

Don't worry. You'll be able to buy it independently of the comic, after a while. The same thing happened with the Green Lantern rings from "Blackest Night" and "Brightest Day".

    Finally getting into Rebirth!

    I checked out:

    - Suicide Squad
    - Action Comics
    - Superman
    - Titans
    - Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps

Any recommendations? My favorite DC characters are Martian Manhunter, Doctor Fate, Flash, and Green Lantern.

The only DC series I follow is Green Lanterns (with Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz). I like that one a lot, so if you're a Green Lantern fan, that might be of interest to you. I only follow it in trades, so I'm way behind (only read the first two story arcs), but it's by understanding that there are some ties to the Hal Jordan series you're currently following.

Finally got my hands on My Favorite Thing is Monsters.
Transcendent... easy candidate for the best graphic novel I've ever read.

Side note- got introduced to Neil Gaiman at a party last week. This guy I struck up a conversation with takes me over to his 3 friends and Neil is one of them. Spared him any idiotic gibberish which I simultaneously do and do not regret but forced him to shake my hand. I think my head nod adequately conveyed, "OMG, I love practically everything you've ever done."
