Also, okay, so French Revolution X-Men AU? Xavier and Erik form the Club de X within the Jacobins, overthrowing the Hydra dominated ancien regime. As the Jacobins shatter, the Club de X do so as well, with Magneto dominating the Montagnard, and Xavier the Girondins.

As the Fraternité de Mutants takes control of the Montagnard, the National Assembly purges Xavier’s club. While Charles himself is forced out of France, his disciples - the remaining members of the Club de X - remain to fight for the true cause of liberty.

Napoleon is Apocalypse. Sinister is someone, idk who.

 

Bless you for even keeping up with that. My brain would probably just melt.

 

Napoleon may have been see as the antichrist by the Russians but I think Apocalypse is a bit overpowered for that role,* I suggest Stryfe instead or Bastion if we want the new regime to be against the "marvels of the new era" which make up big parts of Club de X.

* maybe Apocalypse could be something Napoleon finds/awaken during the Egypt campaign

 

Do anybody know how long the Spider-verse storyline took in-universe?

I’m really pissed about what happened to Julie Power. There aren’t a lot of healthy queer romances in comics, and the age old accusations of connections between sexual abuse of children and homosexuality render this deeply, deeply uncomfortable.

Anyway, this week was just Exiles. I read a buddy’s copy of Runaways.

 

Do I want to know or should I just keep to the old 80's stories and Marvel Adventure Power Pack

So Karolina and Nico can get together, in all likelihood.

It was quite the crossover with all the Spider-books affected by it. Timeline wise, it's kind of hard to say because there's time travel in it. In fact, Superior Doc Ock Peter Parker pops up and does the entire Spider-verse crossover in what took place what was a two-page disappearance in his own book years before.

Comic book version of Nico Minoru isn't a lesbian or bisexual character (unlike the TV show). In fact, it was a plot point in Runaways that she wasn't romantically interested in Karolina, despite the latter having feelings for her.

 

They seem to have changed that into Nico being bisexual since she tried to kiss Karolina earlier in this storyline

 

That honestly makes zero sense to me, but I'm just a reader, not the author.

 

Picked up a copy of Batgirl Volume 2: Knightfall Descends by Gail Simone.
Collects issues #7-13.
Looking forward to reading these.

Granted, he's also known as Demolition Man, but was often referred to as D-Man.

 

I recently watched an interview with Rob Liefeld from a couple of days ago and I like how he owned up to this...


and his use of pouches.



He revealed something in the interview that no one knew before and set the record straight for Marvel's "Heroes Reborn." Most people think that Jim Lee took hold of the Fantastic Four Heroes Reborn, but Liefeld said Marvel offered the F4 to him but passed on that for Captain America. Around the 43:40 mark of this video, you can see Liefeld talk about it.



Somewhere in the video Liefeld talks about pouches and why he thought they were cool and why he added them. He also talks about his idea for a Marvel comic book where Cable and Deadpool just sit around and reveal what's in their pouches.

Yeah, that Cap.

However, I remember the days when Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane and Rob Liefeld were the hottest comic book artists on the planet, and Liefeld getting that Levi commercial.

 

Scary, though I liked Jim Lee. Thankfully Leonardo Manco, Travis Charest(spelling?), and others saved the 90s comics for me.

So credit at the comic shop meant:

Avengers #1. Not a fan of the assembled main team and McGuiness’ art save for Thor, Odin, Agamotto and the Celestials is not worth the coin, especially for a bi-weekly book. Still some good ideas.

Isola? or whatever that title is called. Nice art, but the story did not compel me.

Doctor Strange 389 - great (except for Clea). When it was funny, it was LOL funny and there were some fun ideas. Now I want to buy all the issues and Damnation, but I have the collection coming. Niko’s art is great and the dog ghost is hilarious.

I also picked up that S.H.I.E.L.D. reprint.

Plus Curse Words #1 and 3 bags and boards.

Not a bad haul for $6 and change.
