Like that'll count for anything in dealing with a controversy! Preacher's mature content, but it's going nowhere in terms of Film/Tv and, in some respects, Saga's got more in common with it than you might expect!

 

There's a difference though. Watchmen had a finite ending. Saga is already longer and has no ending.

It's possible. But I like my odds of winning a billion dollar lottery jackpot better.

 

Then it gives it the possibility of being as the name implies a Saga in film form.

 

Who's gonna invest in a long film series that isn't as popular as Harry Potter?

 

BKV has said that there will never be a Saga film, tv show, video game, novelization, etc. It is meant to exist purely in the comic book medium.

 

How should I know I don't know who has lots of money who thinks Saga is interesting.

 

So I heard there is a Origin II comic book coming out soon is it about Wolverine? Because from the #1 issue it kind of looks like Daken with the two claws.

Vaughan's intent with Saga was, in part, to write something they couldn't adapt to the screen, if I recall correctly.

I just read the first five issues of Hellboy in Hell - amazing comics, really great. Mignola's art (and I'll be pretentious and have it refer to both his illustrations and words) is top-notch, and the idea behind the series - Hellboy adventuring in Hell - works so much better in practice. There's room for kooky, off-kilter events and adventures, but it never feels like "time for something completely different." Tonally, it's the most consistent comic I've read in a long time. Really enjoy it, really recommend it.

 

Is that even possible for something to not get adapted on screen that's a book or a comic book?

And what makes it unadaptable to the big screen is how controversial it would be to do so?

It was just a thought besides I don't need more then what we will get with the comic book.

 

That's the thing. You do get more with the comics then you would with TV and movies. Comics are the best art for telling sci fi stories.

 

Saga's really not controversial, it's just gotten embroiled in weird issues because apparently no one reads it before they put on the ComiXology store.

I guess I have a lot to catch up on and yes I know I could buy the volumes if any are even available yet but I like single issues if the series isn't into too far.

 

It's not a lot. I can't get enough.

 

I am up for something new that sci-fi related to get into I mean I already enjoy the free preview issue from comixology. And I already like the oh I forget his name but the guy who is the dad to the baby that is one of the focuses of this series.?

 

The term you are looking for is "main character." Marko is his name, and his wife Alana is the other main character.

 

Yeah sorry I guess for some reason main character didn't come to mind for me at the time.
