The Multiversity was as awesome as I expected. It made me reread Supergods.

Damn, DC are idiots on trades, the Jonah Hex stuff could be sold to no shortage of people. Did like this bit too:

Jonah Hex and ASW were and are fantastic but they're kind of infamously poor sellers and the perennial rumor is that they only lasted as long as they did owing to Dan Didio's personal favor. Hell, I'm pretty sure the only reason ASW survived the first few New 52 cullings was because of the loose Batman connection. So... yeah, that was going to happen, as were the trades falling out of print.

Oh I get the reasons, just sucks is all. It's like how my local shop guy years back told me war comics don't sell, despite that being one of Ennis' best areas of work.

The Phantom Stranger #1(One Shot), Iron Fist #6, and Death of Wolverine 1 of 4.

Since I do not regualrly collect comics I sometimes find myself with the need to grab backing boards to store the slow accumilation.

If you have not heard of the trope Reed Richards is usless, Here it is

So, in Death Of Wolverine #1 Logan is talking to RR and RR tells him that his healing factor is gone, and now he will get leukemia from radiation he absorbed many years ago. Never mind everything else RR is capable of doing, cancer is still beyond him.

You can apply that to both DC and Marvel. They both still have diseases that their greatest scientific minds can cure, but haven't.

Picked up Batman/Superman #13, Batman Beyond Universe #13 and Black Science #8 today (or was it 7? I forget). All were great. I also looked at Spider-Man 2099 which looked cool but I didn't pick it up as they didn't have the first issue.

I also had some Futures End one shots in my folder but I didn't get any. I am definitely not a fan of the September DC gimmicks. Saves me money!

So Saga took four Harveys home: best continuing series, best writer, best artist and best cover artist. [face_party]

    Great news.

I find myself approaching utter disillusion with Marvel / DC but finding new stuff elsewhere that more than makes up for it.

I keep telling people: if you can't stomach Marvel/DC anymore but still love the idea of a shared superhero universe, try the new Valiant Universe.

Yeah I'm the kind of guy that dislikes crossovers so when one happens I automatically stop buying that book (Action Comics and its "Doomed" storyline right now). The only one which I didn't stop buying was the Court of Owls and the Death of the Family story lines because you didn't need to buy the others to know what was going on.

I detest having to be made to buy other comics that I don't normally buy to get the complete story. So I stop. Take that DC! You're really feeling the loss of my 3 dollars!

But seriously, that's why I made the jump to Image Comics. They have superb creators who are writing what they love and actually OWN, and the stories are refreshing. Black Science, East of West, Saga, I could go on and on, it's all great. In fact, all the other small companies are awesome like Dynamite and Valiant etc.

There is more out there than reading about the Joker and Batman fighting for the 1000th time.
