Cool. I'm having a hard time since I'm using a snowtrooper body, and the commander pauldron doesn't seem to want to fit (I'm having a similar problem with my quinlan vos). I'm thinking of shocking it around the shoulder/chest...may have to dremel it down a bit in size too...

Yeah, I can imagine the problems with using a Snowy body. You're better off using the entire Clone Commander torso though. I trimmed down the left side of the CC's pauldron, since the Galactic Marine's is smaller and actually the left side is the same as the right side.

Well, I'm very much into customizing now. Lots and lots of ideas and lots of custom fodder purchases. You know, older Ep1 and POTJ figures for a few bucks and even the newer figures for fair prices.

Anyway, I bought two custom cards from a British fella, which are nothing short of excellent work!

Here is my Galactic Marine on one of his cards.

Hey incom and priestess, Great job! That amidala looks beautiful, and that GM looks awesome on that card. Did you get that from Beedo on r-scum? Not sure if he does them or not, but he's the one british guy I know in the customs section so I was curious.

Thought I'd let you guys know I updated once again, with some stuff that I feel is really kinda cool! Hope you guys like them! Darthfloyd's Customs

Hey DarthFloyd, nice to see an update. Great customs, and Jack Sparrowtrooper looks nifty! And I see you've had plenty of Republic Commandos to customize. I only have two (one loose, one carded) and they're too expensive for me to modify [face_tired].

Unlike Snowtroopers, Clone Commander and Clone Pilots, which <khihh-khoch-khihh-khoch-khihh> 'transform' easily in Galactic Marine v3!

    Check out these pics:

    One

    Two

    Three

I made this one more movie accurate (now that we saw that Sith snapshot a couple of weeks ago), by using the Snowtrooper's chest armour. Unfortunately, the right arm is a bit off, but other than that I am very satisfied with him.

IncomT65, Naboo_Priestess and Darthfloyd, excellent work all! I understand what it takes to do the 3 3/4 inch customs. The larger scale ones would, in theory, be easier, but Naboo_Priestess, your obvious tayloring skills and attention to detail put you in a class by yourself!

I picked up all of the Tatooine wave figures that I wanted, so I've now started getting cutom fodder. I have an extra R5 just itching for some modification!!

Incom, great work!! I know how tough that Snowtrooper is to work with, so my hat is off to you for pulling it off using the chest! I still have 3 to finish; I just put em off to the back burner. Of course, I've still kept busy:p! Plus i graduated college at the beginning of June, so I had to stop customizing for 3 weeks...Talk about withdrawal!!!I was so happy to get back behind my dremel and paints!

Gotta know your priorities, DarthFloyd :). I had an exam last Wednesday and if all goes well, I'm off the hook study wise.

I've seen your posts at FFURG. Are you also a member at other customizing sites, like TheJawa, JediDefender, GalacticArchives?

Just Ffurg, and (with one pic up there so far, though I sent him the others) the customs alliance. I also just posted my stuff at SW Action News forums.

Honestly I never heard of the other ones, except Jedi Defender, which I heard of like 2 weeks ago. I was thinking of posting there, but someone said it was "where all the good customizers post", so that held me off a bit. Years after high school, feelings of social (and only social) inadequacy abound! Since everyone seems to like the new wave, I'll probably post there soon, and I'll be sure to check out the other boards.

    Good luck on the exam!

The customs section at JediDefender is pretty cool, because you get plenty of feedback on your customs. And you won't get burned to the ground if a custom is not to someone's liking :).

If JD is "where all the good customizers go", then you should register!

I started out at TheJawa with customizing and learned members there were also active at JD and other sites.

I finished this Jedi Master. Not someone in particular, I just went along with it while working on him. I don't even have a name for him, but I'd like to place him before the events in RotS. About 200 years or so.

    Hey all :)

I decided to try my hand at making a custom figure. Since Hasbro hasn't made the ROTS Padme that I really want I attempted her first. I started with a ROTS Mustafar Padme. I removed her head, cut off her hair and resculpted it with Sculpey. Her entire body is sculpted as well with extra firm Sculpey. After curing the clay I glazed and painted her. The earrings were hard to do since they are so small. I may try to redo them at some point.

This was my first time trying to sculpt something like this and I had a blast doing it. I hope she looks ok! :)
