Very nice Obi-Wan 12" figure... unfortunately Hasbro probably won't make one as nice. They will probably make one with a constipated look on its face. *sigh*

And according to the time frames of curing with oven vs boiling... boiling is less time consuming.... thanks for all the help guys!!!! I'll give'er a try. [face_devil]

I posted my Boba 12" custom in it's own thread, that was locked down. Here are a few more works in progress...

I use Dragon or BBI bodies since the Hasbro bodies absolutely suck. The Scouts helmet is removable and I used a GI Joe head for him. I use the same methods every other custom guy does to change the clothes and paint everything by hand. Oh happy day when I get a new airbrush.

Other projects on the go, without pics right now are Biggs, Wedge, Luke (pilot), Obi (EP2), Mace (EP2), Han (hoth), Luke (hoth), AT-AT driver, Tie pilot, Darth Maul custom and Vader custom.

Pretty much what everyone else is doing. ;)

As a big fan of making 12" customs myself, I can tell you had some fun making those! They look great! I can't wait to see your custom Maul and Vader.

Thanks Tony! I've been to your site and I must say I really like your work. You're quick to try things from scratch that I find very scary when dealing with somewhat expensive toys. I try to correct the mistakes that Hasbro and Kenner made with the figures I have chosen to open, just like you.

Next on my list is that new airbrush I've been waiting to get, so I can attempt a Dooku repaint like yours. I thought your Dooku turned out perfect. And your EP3 Obi caught me by surprise the other day when I went back to look at your Jango... I was like "WHOA!! the pics of Ewan were just posted on the web and he has a figure finished already!!". Well done.

I'll have to take pics of my Biggs, Wedge and Luke pilots that I finished, minus the repaints (that airbrush can't get here soon enough!), I think they turned out really well. I've touched up my Ep2 Obi, Snowtrooper and Greedo so I'll post those as well.

Again, I really enjoy your site and work Tony, I look forward to seeing more once we get Ep3 12" figures in stores!

You can do the exact same thing painting wise without an airbrush....all mine were done with a regular brush. Check out my tips page and it has a link to an article written by Tony Diterlizzi that has a fantastic method to repaint the heads. You'll be very surprised how easy it is!

Can't wait to see more of your work, the first ones are great!

Well, I have a couple more in the works. The pilots are pretty much complete, minus the repaints. I like how my EP2 Jedi turned out. All are Dragon or BBI bodies. Mace needed leg extensions because I felt he wasn't tall enough with a standard Dragon body. So I cut parts of the old Hasbro legs off and did a "frankenstien" with his legs. I think it worked perfect.

Wow, just one hour and one attempt. That's darn impressive IMO.

What would be your ultimate custom challenge joe?

The most challanging for me is paint the Clones. Its so time consuming and gets boring after a while. :p

    lol, I feel your pain.
I'm working on an illustration which features loads of Clone Troppers and it's getting quite tedious now that I'm on my 20th one ;)
And I still have loads more to do :_|
