Hey Pearl. I think they were concurrent. Sith and Politician. They seemed to be going in the same direction at the same time. Politics might've been first though, if I was forced to pick one. Palps was in school when Plagueis came along.

 

I'd say for him being a Sith was a means to an end.

I don't think Palpatine/sidious would really care all that much for Sith practises, and would even probably go against Sith tradition to get more power if it would warrant it

I agree, Rick. I don't see Palps following Sith Tradition for the sale of loyalty. What elements of Sith tradition would you see him crossing the line on?

I agree with Merk as well. Power and arrogance really were what defined him.

 

Teaching your apprentice everything one knows. I don't see him teaching any of his apprentices: Maul, Dooku, or Vader everything. Since he planned to stay alive forever and rule the Galaxy.

Bane prophesied the Sith'ari, and believed himself to be it. But no one has ever really been confirmed as the true Sith'ari. According to the Book of Sith, every Sith seemed to have believe he or she was the Sith'ari.

Yes Sidious claimed he was the Sithari as he said in that quote. I do not have an opinion who the sithari actually is. I just love some Sidious.

I would like to join this fanclub. Sidious/Palpatine is my second favorite character and my favorite villain in Star Wars. Actually he isn't just my favorite villain in Star Wars he's my favorite villain overall.
