So I watched the movie last night with the commentary on it. Oh my gosh! That was hilarious and very enlightening. I had no idea that Pattinson could play piano or was the one singing quite a few of the background songs! That's awesome!

I also lol'd when he went off about continuity.

my sister found this out around the time when the movie came out. When we bought the movie a few days ago, she could sing every word of his songs, even the unintelligible parts.

I'm actually quite excited to see this, for A) the geekish side of my heart that actually likes Twilight, and B) the humor from how horrible these films really are. Love them, but dear god, they're awful.


Though I'll admit that this was the first thing that popped into my mind this morning:

I saw a picture of Stephenie Meyer at the premiere today, and it's nice to see she's the epitome of "fat, bored Mormon housewife." Now everything makes sense.

 

Though I will probably not see New Moon in theaters, I would be interested in watching it when it comes out on DVD..........................................despite any faults/silliness of the whole Twilight saga, the movies do look like passable entertainment.

Went to the theater to buy my ticket tonight (had to switch theaters because one group of friends all bailed so am going with coworkers instead). I now have a ticket for "Twilight 2."

Official thoughts:

I enjoyed it, for sure. Though we were cracking up through half of it at the sheer absurdity.

- I really liked Jacob. Like way more than I did in the books. And dear god, I felt so pervy watching him keep taking his shirt off.
- Bella's still super annoying.
- Charlie! I love him so much. He needs more screen time.
- Mike was so awkward awesome. That whole theater sequence was hilarious.
- That ending. Dear god, we were dying laughing.
- JANE. Oh dear god, Dakota, you were awesome.
- LOVED Aro. You still got the Dear-God-this-man-can-kill-me vibe but he was so sweet and bubbly in an evil deadly way.
- Every time I looked at Caius, I was fighting back the urge to just start belting "I'll STEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLL YOUUUUUUU, JOHANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!"


I'd rank it better than Twilight in terms of more stuff happens/more entertaining/not so lame.

 

I can't wait to see it tonight , I couldn't watch it last night because the damn tickets were sold out!

 

I watched the trailer tonight, and couldn't watch it all the way through.

 

I just got back from the movies, it was GREAT.

This movie has done 72 million opening day. Beats TDK's record.

I have lost all faith in humanity.

 

I really wanted to see more Dakota. What little bit she did was so excellent and showed that she really does have more acting experience than most of the cast.
