Just get Hyperspace. It's worth it.

Or just take 4 seconds and look for it.

    How about an Oldbie?

Killerbunny: If you don't have Cartoon Network of Hyperspace-- WAIT for 12 hours or so, until it goes online at TOS or Cartoon Network. IT'S AGAINST HYPERSPACE RULES AND TFN RULES TO BE SHARING THIS SORT OF THING.

    Thank you.

man that was awesome. I loved when that blue clone trooper (captain, leutinant???) went into that tank, blew it up, & jumped out in like 3 seconds.

The blues are regular ARCs. The Reds are Captains.

    I love ARC Troopers...

    Indy3,

I can understand your need to have dialogue to propel a story. Personally, I think this is a fresh take on the SW saga, and the lack of dialogue makes for a nice change of pace. Definately we are getting the creator's Samurai Jack minimalist influences.

It sounds like you *want* to like these, otherwise you probably wouldn't be posting (unless you were actually trolling of course ;) My suggestion would be to just watch each one unfold, and see if you can get a semblance of the bigger picture after everything is through. And watch them with the expectation that that Tartakovsky is more interested in telling a story through the dynamics of a scene rather than exposition of dialogue.

This particular chapter was pretty much an action scene. Like any action scene from a war movie, if you take it out of context, it can seem pretty disorienting. I'm sure it will make more sense/be more enjoyable once this chapter benefits from the other chapters - its the whole "serial" thang that Lucas likes so much.

I had assumed from chapter 2 that the ARC troopers mission would be to capture San Hill. It seems a waste of specialist commandos on a mission that could have been achieved by orbital bombardment or even from Republic gunships in atmosphere.

Unless guns prevent the gunships from taking out hte cannons. And the Acclamators can't do much if there's a planetary shield up, as there no doubt is. Muunlinst is an important planet. Probaly has awesome defenses.

    "I love ARC Troopers... "

    Ditto.

It's really cool how they communicate with all the military hand-signals (silent but deadly, eh?).

    How am I a troll?

I can express my feelings of how this episode had no story and no dialogue,

and those that dont look at spoilers wouldnt know whats going on

AND All Iam saying and was reffering to that you need a balance of story/dialogue with action/graphics

Saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....

is trolling. You even managed to say what you've been saying the past few posts in that post. Most people probaly would have said i can express my feelings, but you had to repeat yourself....

This was fun! I like the hand signals, the new music for the show and the animation. I was skeptical at first, but now I am all for this series. I didn't want another Ewoks or Droids on our hands.

Lets hope Lucas is happy with this presentation and will let them make an actual animated Star Wars movie. Hell, he could make 7, 8, and 9 animated and use the original actors voices. That way we'd all be happy.

That's how the normal military works... I know... I go to a military university.

I had assumed from chapter 2 that the ARC troopers mission would be to capture San Hill. It seems a waste of specialist commandos on a mission that could have been achieved by orbital bombardment or even from Republic gunships in atmosphere.

An orbital bombardment isn't the best way to capture someone, and could result in massive civilian casualties... A commando mission is the best way to go, and capturing San Hill is the most likely objective...

    >>I really hoped that somewhere in the Clone Wars storyline (comics, novels, whatever) that we would get some strong focus on the clones themselves and the part they played in this conflict.<<

Check out Clone Wars Volume 2 when it comes out later this month, there's some good Clone action with Alpha the ARC trooper and a regular Clonetrooper in "Jedi: Shaak Ti" (which is also collected in Volume 2) has some nice moments too.

    >>How would Jango have time to train soldiers?<<

The ARC's were trained before Jango died. They were kept in suspended animation for the most part until Shaak Ti asked Lama Su to deploy them during the defense of Kamino.

I know this is danjurously off-topic, but since I am seeing san hill's name pop up, I can't resist...

is it just me or are san hill's hands ridiculously large in AOTC????

I didn't even know that Kamino was attacked. And what I meant was how would he EVER have had time to train them? He was a bounty hunter. Wasn't he supposed top be out collecting bounties?

    JediTrilobite,

Yeah, I know he's alien... I said "hands"; not "head". His skull is pretty whack as well, but your little freudian slip only proves that San's anatomy also makes you... strangely uncomfortable, yet you are powerless to look away. So I am not alone in being mesmerized by Mr. Hill's gargantuan digits...

Must be for counting all those republic credits. You know what they say about aliens with big hands... they also have huge DROIDIKAS. You heard it here first, kids.

Nah, the Kaminoans paid him well. Collecting bounties at that point was just to keep himself busy. The Kaminoans wanted him close by remember.

BTW Obi Wan refers to the red ARC as seargent. So, the blue ones are corporeals or something?

This cartoon is exactly what I hoped and expected from the SAMURAI JACK creators. It's action entertainment, telling a story through the Visuals, like a silent film would.

Lucas is big on this. That's probably why he likes SAMURAI JACK so much. Every SW film ends with no dialogue. The old silent films were much more visually interesting than sound films.

Those who want more dialogue in the CW cartoon should go READ a book, like Matthew Stover's SHATTERPOINT, instead.

BTW, to the person who comnplaining about the role of the ARC troopers in taking out he guns, in the last episode you can see the gunships descending over thecity. Obviously the ARC troopers cleared the way.

I liked the episode tonight a lot. I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't wait to see all of them in one full hour long cartoon. It's going to be non-stop action for the most part. Great idea by Lucas. I'd love it if they did something similar to fill in the gap between episodes 3 & 4
