Aside from tuning in to be insulted by some anal-retentive turd face host it was an overall great experience!

That was beautiful. I had high expectations, and they were surpassed.

 

Exactly. Palpy shouldn't tell people what to do, then let them sit there and look angry. He's not emperor yet, and he still needs popular support. He's supposed to trick them into doing what he wants willingly.

I agree the finger clacking thing was sweet, though.

Aside from the annoying guy in the pre-show...that was a great way to kick off the CLONE WARS miniseries!

This "chapter" (Episode II.25 must not have sounded good in the production meetings ) was all about getting the audience up to speed from the end of AOTC...war has spread across the Galaxy, those stupid Quarren have sided with the Confederacy (funny since the Mon Cal I thought were fighting with the Republic?) and Anakin is developing into "the best star pilot in the galaxy...and a cunning warrior"

Only complaint...what was with that "clicking" sound when Palpatine ran his fingers together? Nothing says (Nixon voice) "I am not a SITH" ...like having your evil talons clicking while you get your new prospect all ambitious!

 

Go to Hyperspace, it's there, and they've got another copy with audio commentary too.

 

The other thing was some scenes seemed to lack depth perception. The troops and walkers entering the ships sticks out for me.

Music though was great, and I'd have to say it seemed to have a kind of Samurai Jack feel.


And Palpy's sunken eyes were overdone I think. Instead of the hint of evil mastermind he's got a big neon sign around his neck.

 

HELL YES. It's about time.

Palpatine was a bit controlling, but is was nothing too bad as far as being out of character,

 

it seemed to have a kind of Samurai Jack feel.

It was done by Genndy Tartakovsky, the guy behind Samurai Jack, so yeah, it should have a Samurai Jack feel to it.

I haven't been paying attention to it's creation, but kudos to me for getting the blatently obvious.

 

LOVED IT! I can't wait for the next episode... HUGE space battle. Also, does anyone have the names of the Clone Trooper fighters yet?

The Official Site lists the Clone fighter as a V-19 Torrent.

 

No, I meant that I agreed that Palpy cutting off Yoda seemed out of his AOTC Chancellor character.

It's streaming. It's a disgrace.

I wanted, nay expected, nice high quality downloadable QT files. Instead, a questionable quality stream.

Someone figure out how to download these files... and quick.

 

This was a great Episode. The summary was nice and helps people who haven't seen AOTC to understand what's going on. It's nice to see they didn't forget R2D2 and C3PO. When they showed the prep crews fueling the ships I thought of the Rebel Alliance getting ready before leaving Yavin 4 in ANH. Clearly the ending was taken straight from ESB. My only regret is how short these episodes are. Chapter 2 looks like it'll be even better with a spectacular space battle.
