Animated Shorts Official Discussion -- Clone Wars: Episode 8 (Obi-Wan vs. Durge) [Spoilers]

I liked this episode, It want back to chapter 4 and the story. Here's hoping we will see Anakin in space in tonight's episode.

 

I loved the idea of a jedi KNIGHT leading an army in a jousting battle with a rival army. really gives you an understanding of why Obi-Wan is revered as a general years after the clone wars. That was one of the most dramatic images of the series (possibly the whole Clone Wars era)

The look of the clonetroopers has always resembled Roman Legion troops, so the image of a cavalry charge was very much a nod to wars of the past.

And while it offered a little moment of humor...what was with that dramatic pause when Obi-Wan stabbed right through Durge?

Can someone say AKIRA for Episode 9!

It took all the ARCs and Obi to take out Durge and he's STILL not dead!

AWESOME chapter!!!!!

I loved that Obi was leading the clones in white armor!!

I loved when he was "sliding" with his speeder bike!!

I loved his cute legs when he was attacking Durge...

The expression on his face were great again!

Just poor Obi's luck- again an enemy who is full of weapons from head to toe

Someone asked where he could find another speeder - I guess unfortunately there had to be several bikes all around without riders after the battle...

 

I really liked this one. This is, by far, the best one I've seen so far.

Things I liked:

? The way Obi-Wan said "Mount up" when seeing Durge. Gave a whole new tension to things.

? Seeing Obi-Wan in Clone Armor.

? Durge getting up and emerging from the shadows of his wrecked speeder. I have a thing about entrances like that.

? Durge's laugh when he got rammed in by Obi-Wan's saber. That's just creepy.

? The whole Durge vs. Obi-Wan fight.

? Durge's arm reconnecting to his body. It's a real shame that he's not going to be in this anymore.

The one thing I didn't like was, of course, the running time. They should have made it longer.

Other than that, it was perfect.
