------*Official* Voting Rules for "The Jedi Knights of Cleveland" Fanforce ------

    I. When a vote is required within the Cleveland Fan Force (CFF), the Cleveland Jedi Council (CJC) member in charge of CFF voting and policy will start an online poll within the forum in regards to the issue at hand.

II. For purposes of controlling socks, trolls, flames, and non CFF members, no one with a TheForce.Net (TF.N) registration date newer than three months will be permitted to vote. Candidates for voting who have been registered with TF.N for three or more months must then complete one of the following to be eligible to vote:
    A. The Candidate may attend one CFF meeting or event.
    B. The Candidate may petition the CJC for the privilege to vote. Upon receiving the request, members of the CJC will check the posts of the candidate to see how they have contributed to the CFF. The candidate must receive the approval from the majority of the CJC in order to receive the privilege to vote.

III. CFF members who are eligible for voting may cast their vote by selecting the option box next to the choice of their preference and clicking the vote button. This must be done within the allowed polling period.

IV. CFF members who choose to vote must then divulge how they voted with a post within the thread indicating how they voted. This must be done within the allowed polling period.

    V. At the end of the polling period, the choice with the most eligible votes will be declared the winner.

VI. In the event of a tie, a new poll will be conducted amongst the choices that were tied. Only members of the CJC can vote within this poll following all of the rules described within the ?Official Voting Rules for the Cleveland Fan Force?.

VII. The CJC reserves the right to revoke the privilege of voting by a majority vote from any member of the CFF for socking, trolling, flaming, or abuse.

I abstained... Not to hurt either Cindy's or Candii's feelings, but I could care less who wins just as long as we have a secretary.

The correct phrase is "couldn't care less."

I flipped a coin and Candace won.

I shared my thoughts on the matter, at the meeting. However, for everyone who couldn't make it to the meeting...I'll re-state my opinion.

Since this is a NON-council position, it can be a great way for some of our "younglings" to get involved; and gain experience that could lead to council/leadership duties. My vote went to Candii.

Cindy has been very important in getting us to where we are today, and I foresee her becoming a "council member" in the future.

Since my first post was July 23rd (yes, I checked), I can vote, right? I've also been to 2 meetings. This does mean I'm qualified? Please tell me, because I'm kind of confused.

    Jangoboy71:

Well, you have been registered with TF.N for more than three months. The other criteria is to (A) attend one of our events/meetings (which you haven?t done) or (B) request voting privileges from the Council. Since you live in Youngstown, it may be hard for you to fulfill A. Shall we take your question as a request to the council for voting privileges?

    JediCandii:

    You are qualified to vote. Go ahead. Technically you have one more month to go, but I?m not going to let you not vote in your own poll. So, with Krash?s permission, I?m pulling rank. Go ahead and say I have a Palpatine issue. I?ll take it as a compliment. 8-}

    ((hands in the air))
    I didn't do it this time!!! :D

Permission...? As I said at the meeting, I view my fellow "council" members as equal in authority as myself. Translation...this is your area of expertise...it's your call Zod!

request voting privileges from the Council Given jangoboy71's distance from Cleveland, and with us being the nearest Fanforce. I'll support the request for voting privileges. (if a request has been made?)

As for Candii, you have every right to vote in the poll concerning yourself. I second Zod's ruling on that! As far as I'm concerned, your participation at 2 meetings, and willingness to be Fanforce Secretary qualifies you for voting privileges.

I voted for Candii because Cindy seems to be the next "council member" in the chain so i thought Candii would fit the position better.

I voted for Cindy because she has more experience with the fan force and I don't want to go through this again if Candace goes off to college. Cindy could be on the council and act as secretary at the same time. Don and I have other responsibilities.

At the two day warning the official count is:
    JediCandii - 4
    JarJarJedi - 3
    Abstention - 3
    Unknown - 3

I'm assuming you voted for yourself Cindy. Unless you contacted me by PM, you must post how you voted in order for it to count.

Are you counting Cindy's vote (JarJarJedi) as "unknown" until she actually says who she voted for? If so, Cindy...go ahead and just say it (for the record)

This one is coming down to the wire...we might have to have another run-off election among "the council" (as discribed in the rules for voting) I wish so many people hadn't abstained...I appreciate not wanting to choose between 2 friends, but your vote could have decided everything. Moral of the story: unless you're in Florida...your vote CAN make a difference!
