These words are part of a sentence from the old Celtic poem "Battle of the Trees," or "Cad Goddeau," translated by Robert Graves. In English translation it is: "Under the tongue root a fight most dread, and another raging, behind, in the head." Williams had this phrase translated into different languages and used the Sanskrit translation. Sanskrit is the root language of India.

Baptizer- Dooku actaully made it into an earlier version but GL asked me to take him out actually it was just too cluttered. The reason I did that poster was to see if I could make one I liked better while still using the same/similar elements Struzan did.

EDIT: and I don't know about that Yoda pic... sure looks like he's creating that lightning- not just deflecting it.

 

Sorry to get off topic, but Echo, is your poster a mixture of artwork and real-life pictures? Its pretty nice, thats why i ask!(obi-wan looks like art work, where as some other elements look like real-life photos...either that, or its 'real-life' artwork! amazing).

The title "Across the Stars" reminds me of the equally cheesy "Where Dreams Are Born" from A.I.

I, too, doubt that this single will have lyrics as it breaks from the traditions set forth by the previous scores. Plus, JW has already said that as the prequels wind down, the music will become more and more similar to the OT scores.

I think that the only voices we will hear will be from the chorus and maybe from a soloist. I would be perfectly content with this.

How come the Jango and Ankain covers are so cheesy-looking? This is Lucasfilm we're talking about, a multi-million-dollar company, and the covers look like a cheap bootleg with a cover done with MS Paint. the Yoda cover is fine, though he looks different again. Yoda is the most inconsistent character in the whole Star Wars series.

Anyone else think that the covers are kinda cheesy? I mean, why not keep with the tradition of the Official Movie posters (like the new AOTC poster) being album covers?

Please be advised that this will be the official soundtrack thread even upon its release. Should the album's release generate a massive number of posts and conversation becomes stifled, then additional threads will be started. For instance, we may have an Official Soundtrack Discussion Thread A, B, and C. Anyway, just a thought.

Actually JM22, given the production/manufacturing times, I suspect we will see many more AotC soundtrack leaks in the weeks leading up to April 23. No doubt the CD booklets have already been printed at this point, meaning that someone, somewhere knows the track listing. Does anyone remember when we got the track listing for TPM? I seem to recall that it was before the merchandising release date...

BTW, I'm betting that there will be tracks called "Anakin Kills Tusken Children (Dark Side Temptation Mix)" and "Count Dooku Revealed as Darth Tyrannous" ...

 

I love the Yoda cover. He really looks like he'll take no crap from anyone.

I was hoping the love theme would just be called Anakin and Padme's theme, but I suppose they wanted something a little different for a single release.

The single will probably have dialogue from the film, like DOTF did. I can't imagine a full on love song though. Especially not Celine Dion. Britney Spears maybe, but not Celine.
