Well, where is this CR of yours? I keep looking for a blue colour to talk to about how terrible he is, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere

I think date-wise, the first or second weekend of Aug would be best?shall we aim for Sat 4th? Those who are travelling far are welcome to come up the night before (or earlier if they wish) and stay over?.perhaps we could all meet in Newcastle on the Sat daytime for a wander round toon, then head back to mine for the BBQ?

 

i think the problem with everyone bringing something is that this sort of blows our SW themed bbq to bits, if i may say so. how about people bringing drinks and the beefeaters their beef *gah!* and we share some of the costs for busting our arses over milleniumn falcon cake?

just a thought.

Just an Idea on the food front, when I host BBQ's I get in the general stuff ie, BBQ stuff, burgers, sasauges buns, vegie stuff, etc and then just split the bill between all of us there, only ever ends up beeing a couple of quid each, then tell ppl to bring their own speciality stuff (ie. I will have to bring myself a steak ) and obviously ppl bring their own drink.

 

i just said that.

the thing is, it's be silly like if we make a millenium falcon cake and come up with our own version of jawa juice (yummy) and things ... dunno. it's still a long time to go and it depends on the number of people all in all.
