So psyched. I wanna see how they play Peter.
So I know that they say that now that Peter no longer exists that the rest of the show didn't necessarily not happen, but how could it happen if he wasn't there?
Good question. Maybe blueverse Lincoln Lee was our Olivia's partner from the start and kind of took Peter's role?
I'm glad they're going to play with the "world without Peter" for a while. I suspect he took himself out of the equation.

Okay I can buy Lincoln being Replacement Peter.
But does he exist at all? Didn't the unstable traveling by Walter to save Peter create the instability between universes? Does it just exist now? It happened, but it's irreversible because of how it happens, and now it's just there still?
This is like, Who-level confusion right now.
I'm expecting (or hoping) the first episodes to answer many of these questions. The showrunners commented in a recent interview that they didn't want a frustrated audience: let's hope they mean it.
Not a bad season opener, but Fringe has never been particularly strong at these.
Also: zomg yellow-verse
Don't watch Fringe on Friday nights because of Supernatural...and I'm peeved that they replaced Fringe with reruns of Hell's Kitchen on Saturday nights at 11pm.
Yes, I just admitted that I'm at home on Friday and Saturday nights.
Don't you mean: AMBER!
why do you keep saying this? did i miss something? or are you referring to the orange credits?
Actually, brown. 'Cause guess what you get when you mix red and green?
And yes, not the strongest season opener, but you can see that it was all about moving pieces into place for further on. Setting up Lincoln in our verse, re-establishing our verses new continuity post-Peter and giving us hints as to what is going on with him, as well as setting up the new 'villian'(s) for this season. I'll be willing to bet we'll get a red-verse episode of the same kind in the next couple of episodes.
My complaint is that Joe Flannagan got such little use. There was something about him and Seth Gabel that worked as partners just from the small bit we saw.
I liked that The Observer is apparently getting emotional, like August did. He's looked after Peter for his whole life, after all.
I'm expecting the first Earth-2 credits to be a differet, fourth color.
Red and blue is ORANGE!!!
Loved seeing Peter jump in and out...
but yeah, pretty meh season opener, but that's pretty normal, but I'm excited for the rest of the season.
So, a few wines. Some facebooking and... well, I'm confused, but I don't think it's 100% due to the former. Will rewatch.
Loved the Olivia vs Olivia scenes in particular.
And the compassion of the rogue watcher.
How many different Olivias has Anna Torv played so far? Olivia, Fauxlivia, Bellivia, now this new version... Emolivia?
I was fully expecting the Machine to transform her into a penguin. I am disappoint.
It is in this show!
Oh, you live in the alternate universe!?
Dave... uhh... Daveternate has a thread for yoooou.
I do realize that red and blue is purple IRL. But the redverse titles mixed with the blueverse titles got us orange.
I'm just stating that simple fact.
Actually I take it all back. Please do not do a blood test or anything. That would be unnecessary.
*types on typewriter with mirror*
He's on to us.
It's AMBER I tell you! AMBER!
Also, they did purple before when the universes were together.
Blue is our normal universe
Red is over there
They've shown us past credits
I forget what the future ones were.
So Amber is alternate universe?
I was on some heavy cold medication during this week's episode, but wasn't it made explicitly clear in that episode that Blueverse Lincoln didn't know what Fringe division was?
Yep, they even had the Watcher's point out that Lincoln doesn't remember that he's met Olivia before.
And on the colour thing, I've come to realise that I seem to be very alone in having seen the original sequence as being in green, not blue (which would fit given it's the inverted colour, but anyway). If it's blue, then orange makes sense as it would be the inversion and thus we'd then see a green for the alternate universe's episodes. Then I also consider the fact we're discussing colours of an opening credit sequence and realise how geeky and sad that is.
Maybe you see green because you're in the Southern hemisphere and that's like another parallel universe and stuffs.
I see the credits as blue (ours), red (theirs), and amber (new one).
So the showrunners are saying the new credits are orange. We have a winner!
So, long buildup for the return. Will Orangverse revert back to bluniverse?
