Edmonton Official Games Night Mondays Thread

Well it doesn't take long, just the bus ride to work and the bus ride back, and i had it read

 

Tomorrows Monday! I can't wait to get The Invasion of Theed over with so we can play the real RPG.

And whoop you guys at good old Epic Duels

It won't take you guys long to finish off the Invasion of Theed. If you wait for me to come along, the character building session will likely happen sometime after May 1st.

The full version of the RPG is much more robust and detailed and there are more choices for characters.

If anyone wants to get their own books at all, I would suggest investing in the "Revised Core Rulebook". It has characters from Episode II on the cover (grown up Anakin on the front, and Jango on the back). They made a lot of really important changes to the rules and character classes in the revised book...rules that I'll be using. If you've made your character with the original core book already, I think there is a document at the wizards Star Wars RPG site that details the changes.

Sorry Alex, not going to be able to help you out tonight. Got a heck of a fever right now, so I'm not even sure if I am going to make it tonight... (Although unless my face is literally on fire, I should be able to...) and if I do make it, after that all I am going to want to do is go home to bed...

Well... In that case I am out too... I am not very good against infections, so if John does go I am likely to catch whatever he has...

Besides I might do something towards my new series tonight...


Anyway, I would appreciate it if you guys don't play the RPG in my absence... I wouldn't wanna miss anything... (Besides wasn't Mindy in on it too?)

How far into the Invasion adventures did you get?

 

We played the 2nd and 3rd missions. We play the first one last week.

And we did pretty bad to, were just getting the hang of it

 

"Getting the hang of it" is the entire reason that the boxed set was created. Don't feel bad! The next level (from the Invasion game to the full RPG) is a bit more complicated, so it's good to get the basics down pat.

We're arriving in Edmonton tonight (my wife has an interview tomorrow), but it doesn't look like I'll have the time to come meet you guys.

You could PM me the address, just in case, but at this point don't expect me. If you see a 6'1'' bearded gentleman at the door, though, don't shoot!

 

You can find Danny's address on page 1 of this thread. I think the buzzer number is 0118...someone correct me if I'm wrong.
His buzzer is a bit wonky so we try to check the door every now and then.

Suh-weet! I hope you can make it to the next games night. Though i'd prefer it if we could play more rpg instead of epic duels (I don't mind epic but it gets kinda old after awhile)

 

I wasn't able to make it, obviously. We got into E-city at about 11 pm. Perhaps next time.

(Moving update: My wife and I took a look at the Newton Place closet that we will be moving into. It's tiny. We'll probably be looking for something else right away. She has a job lined up, but I'll be looking for something.)

 

One of these days I really wanna make it to these game days but I work late from Fridays to Mondays.
