Yeah, how can lightsaber blades not cut the magna guard's electro staffs? Are they made from a special kind of metal or something?

You may or may not know me. I am attempting to rally support for Grievous fanfics in the ROTS forum. Pics wouldn't be bad either. Nemesis, you're the top boss, but we need to actually DO something besides the 'blah blah blah' we're currently limiting ourselves to. If I may suggest, let's either start a new thread or use this one, and compile ourselves some kick-*** Grievous stuff.

Good question. I am guessing the electricity at the end has something to do with why they don't cut off the ends, but if they hit the middle, I don't know why. Perhaps they have the same material that vibro-blades have, because those can't be cut either. Just a suggestion.

Cheap shot with a gun he could have avoided if it hadnt taken him by surprise + hit his organs.

Like Maul - he was killed by a trick.

Both Maul and Grievous rock - and both are underestimated.

I got the 12 inch GG figure, and I loves him!!!! He's sitting near my laptop next to my millipede. I hope they make magna guards that big soon!!

I think MagnaGuards are cool. But a poor choice in weaponry. Mass manufacturing lightsabers and training MagnaGuards with them would have been more effective.

 

So which is the "official" official Grievous fan club? This one? Or the one over on the EU Community board, which was started in April 2004?

BTW, I'd like to join too.

One of my friends has the 12 inch figure. It looks cool and all, but I think the arms fall of too easily, and the legs sink to easily.

I've been attempting to recruit on the ROTS board in the GG thread. I'm trying to rally support, fanfics and fan art (in no particular order), but thus far I haven't been too successful. I plan to prowl the other boards looking for potential members, and I'll try to link us to other fanclub cells the minute I figure out how. Maybe we can form a fanclub megacell!

Cool, well I'm a member of both clubs. This one and that.

I have just about every Grievous figure ever produced.

And I have a Grievous M&M tube topper thingy, as well as 2 of the MagnaGuards.

About the 12-inch Grievous... Yes, the arms do fall off every now and then but that's only if you move them around. As for standing, I borrowed the plastic stand from my 12-inch Shaak Ti and used it for GG.

 

I've swept the EU forum in response to the lead Kobe's statement gave me and left a couple rallying calls. We may be seeing some new faces soon.

EDIT ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER: I have completed my sweep of the ROTS forum as well. Again, I left rallying calls.

EDIT EVEN LATER: The EU thing didn't pan out. I'm still hunting, though.

 

According to Star wars Insider, the staffs are made out of a lightsaber resistant alloy called phirk. The electricity is what makes them lethal. You get hit by one of the ends, and you become one big ciruit, since the human body is over 70% water.

 

I am very sad and sorry that I did not find out about this club earlier.

I would really like to join this club because I am a very big Grievous fan. I am also confused on how to join this club, is there an actual way or what. Darth_Nemesis you seem like a really cool guy and I hope this club goes on and on.

On a different note if you are looking for a topic I think we could talk about in the labirynth of evil I recall them sayin something about him floating in the air and using his legs and not having four arms? Im not sure if that is completely true but it will give us something to talk about.

We could also talk about some of the major flaws of grivous's body. I mean if they can have the magna guards (grievous's body guards) purple swords (the name escapes me) strong enough to hit lightsabers why not Grievous's arms? They made vaders suit very very strong so why make Grievous's vital organs so vulnerable? Letting the arguing *Grievous cough* I mean the debating begin!

I would also like to add why does Obi-wan always have to kill the cool characters and the two characters that happened to be my favorite? (Darth Maul and General Grievous) Although Vader is also very cool!
