IT IS A CLASSIC!
I want a Grievous origins episode more than anything. Like the Ventress one with a flashback scene of him before he became a cyborg, and showing him become one.
well Lair of Grievous had statues of Grievous before he became a cyborg
True, but I'd like to see a flashback scene too.
Grievous' background from the EU is far superior to the nonsense Lucas cooked up for TCW.
I do agree that they should dedicate at least one episode to Grievous' backstory. Before "Nightsisters", I didn't really give a crap about Asajj Ventress but by now, she's one of the most developed characters on the show. Right now, I'm finding little reason to care about Grievous. We saw a peek of his backstory in "Lair of Grievous", but more would be nice.
I've been calling for a Grievous backstory since I joined the forum. There is so much potential with him it's not even funny..Look at Ventress like others have mentioned. They gave her a bigger development, they made her interesting. Grievous could blow almost any character out of the water right now if they just gave us some of his EU backstory...It could even go hand in hand with his current backstory that he chose to become a Cyborg..Like for example:
He starts having dreams or visions of his previous life, he starts unlocking memories that he couldn't have before. Something along the lines of Dooku purposely erasing and changing key memories to enable him to control grievous and have his loyalty. It's really that simple..Complexity and plot twist all in one.
Were people content with how Grievous was portrayed in today's episode? For once he didn't have Magnaguards or hordes of Battle droids at his back, and really was fighting alone. While never being as awesome as we all want him to be, I was pleasantly satisfied. I love when he did the foot grab/throw combo!
He made everybody run from him and he did not run away. He stood his ground even after you know what happened.
In this episode Grievous was everything but a coward.
He should beat Ahsoka quickly.
Which duel do you think was better Ahsoka vs Grievous ( Duel of the Droids ) or Ahsoka vs Grievous ( A Necessary Bond )
There is no contest. The new one is better.
Grievous had a total win over Ahsoka in this one. In the first one she cut his hand and ran.
This duel was more entertaining and it was longer than their last encounter
It reminded me of the original clones war show: the only way to escape Grievous with with a big ship and all its guns.
I also liked his new bike. A lot better than that wheel from the movies.
Agreed! It wa a great duel...
The new bike was awesome. I think I have seen it in the Hasbro figure line as Hasbro Original concept.
But it is not as good as the Wheelbike for me.
I wish Grievous was in more of this season, hopefully he'll be in Season 6 more.
I hope they give a name to Grievous's new ride on the official site, hopefully an Enyclopedia entry.
I do hope so too. MOAAARR GRIEVOUS!
They surely will. It was a sweet ride.
The droid general was well represented in this last episode, and that is about the best you will ever hear out of me regarding him.
He's no longer "the droid idiot"?
"He is Grievous, warlord of the Kaleesh and Supreme Commander of the armies of the Confederacy. And he is not a droid!"
I thought this latest duel was better. I was never worried about Ahsoka in their first duel, but this one had me on the edge of my seat thinking she might get killed or get a limb cut off.
I've always wondered how the Jedi fight four swinging lightsabers at once and it seems as if Ahsoka locks up two of Grievous's sabers with one of her own and keeps her second lightsaber prepared for defense. Ob-Wan seems to parry every strike and then lock them all up when he needs to.
Its droid moron, and I was trying to be nice in his home thread.
He's a Cyborg
There's a big difference between a cyborg and droid.
