All 50 has going for him is his beats which aren't even produced by him. Anyone that has heard his first album can tell you how much talent he had before Dre decided to show him some attention.

As far as Nas goes, God Son was definatly under-rated, especially after the mess that was Nastrodomos and to a lesser degree Still-matic. Ill-matic is still one of the best, if not the best hip-hop album ever! It's to bad he has never been able to top that. Nasty Nas rules!

    1. BarryBonds25 has just set the standard for a definitive Hip Hop review. That was better than anything i have read in the Source, XXL, or even my fav Murder Dog magazine.
    Outstanding job.

See, now you make my job too difficult. What if all my other CD reviews don't stand up to my review of God's Son. I am glad you think of my review as being better than anything you've read in a rap mag. I posted it from how I felt about the album while relistening to it to give me perspective. I will post more CD reviews in the future, some of Nasty Nas's other works and other artists' works. Stay tuned.

LL Cool J vs. Kool Mo Dee (Old School)

    Dr. Dre vs. Luke Cambell

    Dr. Dre vs. Easy E.

The whole East Coast vs. West Coast.

And the most famous of all time ...

    2Pac vs. Biggie .

and the most tragic of them all. [face_plain]

Yes that is true. I will say this about Ja-Rule, he had a very nice diss record at Eminem. He got bad on Em for saying stuff about Kim and his mother, and then turned around and said Hallie was going to turn out just like them.

50 cent SUCKS! 21 questions my arse! I got one question? Who likes his crappy music?!

I've got nothing against him. He's not bad although I do agree that he wouldn't be as good if it wasn't for the production on his album.

Rhymesayers signed a distribution/liscencing deal with Epitath. Which is why Epitath is distributing Eyedea and Abilities' stuff as well.

As a fan of both punk and hip-hop, I'm glad Epitaph is signing good underground artists.

Speaking of DJ Dangermouse, have you heard the Grey Album?

I heard the Grey Album, it's a pretty neat concept. Jay-Z ain't my favourite rapper (too much boasting, not nearly enough substance) but in combination with the Beatles he's actually likable.

Also, I recently got the Horror E.P. by Rjd2, woo, remixes galore! (+ bonus disk with concert footage, booyah!)

P.S. If you haven't heard the Grey Album yet...

Geez, I walk in the door after lunch, the newly purchased Grey Album in my hot little hand. "what happened to the HHAT?" I wonder and lo and behold...we're talking about it. :p

I like it alot, but I think I need to listen to it more.

Another question, I'm cosidering buying tix to see Mark Ronson...anyone seen him live and have good things to say?

Oh, and in 14 days, I'll be seeing the Sugar Hill Gang!! Such old school hiphop happiness :D
