THE STORY
Two Jedi arrive on the small planet of Antar to recover an ancient lightsaber stolen from Coruscant. The thief is known to the Jedi. Mayhem ensues.

So, just to reiterate the question I had for everyone: we'll be meeting on 11 January 2003, but ... where? We'll need somewhere nice and central, so if folks could either PM me or reply here as to where they are, so we can sort a location out...

A suggestion as to what sort of venue would be handy as well.

 

Hmmm... a venue... I liked the idea you posted in another thread about a coffee shop. Maybe one in the city? That's a location anyone can find.

Edit: i was going to make a suggestion for a meeting place, how bout something like HJ's , most people can find that in the city easily. It's just some people on here are students or unemployed and we also have to think of them as well. It's just after spending christmas present i won't be affording that much.

I haven't got any customes but if someone has a custome already done, i'll be willing to stick my hands up for one of the roles.

 

hmm... well im personally happy with meeting at a cafe... but if we meet at HJ's or macas or somthing thats cool

 

perhaps we should meet in a place with lots of room, coz there will be a fair amount of us....

Id love a coffee or a BEER, but lets just stick to coffee for now.
Definately need a place with space if we are expecting heaps. There's a few coffee shops in forrest chase, most have plenty of room depending on the time of day you get there.

 

and i'll prolly be bring one of my laptops most likely the crap one] to show Sainheart some videos... so me needa be in a place that will be comfortable for a laptop

and yes i agree:
MORE COFFEE = VERY GOOD

 

That sounds great SOE a laptop as well for the meeting, we are going to look professional.

And um...

It looks like SOE has put his hand up to be the note taker for the meeting, as he has the notebook and all.

Seriously, okay, to the coffee shop we go. I'm not intimately familiar with every coffee shop down in the Forrest Chase area, but I think there's one or two largish booths in The Merchant Tea and Coffee House (I think that's what it's called)...if anyone's got a better/cheaper/bigger/more ambient suggestion, please feel free...

Coffee = better. "It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. The coffee bean induces speed, the eyes acquire redness, the hands acquire shaking, it is by will alone I set my mind in motion..." (It's terrible. Try as I might, I can't lose the Dune movie references... )

I suppose that place does have quite a bit of space for us all, and we have had previous meets there, well one. There's also the spirit sound bar which is located in the roughly the same place. Up to everyone else thou I guess.

I just relised that Cleo is a EXPERT notetaker maybe she would like to do it.

 

But they NEED to be legible

I actually think the HJs suggestion is a good one. Apart from the fact that it's nice and cheap for the poor folks among us, the one at William St has an upstairs section that's roomy and usually pretty bare except for lunchtimes.

 

HJ's is a good option.... but makes us look less pro

 

Actually, I'm for the HJ suggestion, on further reflection. Cheaper for a start, less yuppies and also lots of room upstairs (as said). Maybe less professional, but hey...so was George Lucas back in '77

So...HJ's on William Street? Say, 2:00 p.m.?

Any advance on that?

Looks to be about 8-13. That's doing a very rough tally of respondents to the various threads and crossing fingers for a couple of guys who've written to me by e-mail. (Which reminds me, I should probably get back to them shortly )

Has your laptop got a CD-R? I can bring A Question of Faith, Duality, Broken Allegiance, Jedi Hunter, Troops, American Jedi, Knightquest, Legacy of the Jedi, and the Ryan_W vs. Dorkman duel on one CD in case anyone's not sure what a fan film is...

 

I can just see us spending a few hours after the meeting copying fanfilms for each other. I've got a few good ones not many people have and I'm missing some good ones I used to have.
