Solo [Official Info] Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) in Solo

Those pictures of the set are beautiful! I can't wait to see Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo. I hope he has plenty of scenes with Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian!

 

I’m just surprised we’ve barely seen a glimpse of Alden. Maybe they’re waiting to reveal it in a trailer.

 

Yeah, I'm surprised we haven't gotten at least a first look photo with Ehrenreich as Han yet. The first reveal the Rogue One cast had been shown at D23 in August 2015, well before the release of the first trailer.

 

Placing bets on his reveal in the teaser/trailer being a shot from behind, him turning with a smirk because someone called his name? I'm guessing I'm not the first to come up with this.

I have a feeling watching Alden play Han and Donald play Lando might be like the Star Wars equivalent of Coy and Vance on Dukes of Hazzard.

Yeah, also why would Han and Chewie be with Zoe Saldana's Guardians Of The Galaxy character? That's one heck of a crossover...

 

Ewoks were pretty blatantly Teddy Bears, but a planet of Garden Gnomes. That's kind of pushing it.

 

Before all the experts and naysayers declare this image to be fake and/or photoshopped, it would be prudent to read the MSW story at the accompanying link and even the original tweet from the person who posted the image.

Well it appears the image is off a cinema's promotional cup for movies being released in 2018. That's why there are other non-Solo related characters on it.

And it may well be photoshopped, but that doesn't necessarily make it "fake".

 

Fair enough, but the body of Alden Solo there is absolutely from that Battlefield model.
I do agree that someone may have been instructed to assemble the image for official purposes.
But it isn't Solo from the movie.

You're right there - it's not the same costume.
However, as "Solo" occurs over a number (4?) of years, I suspect he'll have a couple of changes of clothes. At least I hope he does.
MSW calls this Han's "hero outfit" from the final act.

 

Harrison Ford is Han Solo. This is a fictional character where the actor and the character are synonymous. Nothing against this actor, but you can't just put some brown liquid in a cup and call it coca-cola. What Harrison brings to the character cannot be duplicated. This is a movie we didn't need. His backstory is best left to the imagination. I'm willing to bet this movie will suck big time.

That's fine.
It's not that it's the same pose or same clothes. If you look closely at shadows and details, it's the same image.
Someone in the Disney art department took that picture from the Battlefront artwork, and stuck Alden's head on it.

 

But it's good that you're keeping an open mind about it.

smudger9 Look around at the spy pics and Ron Howards Instagram. They're making something fun. Get over the actor hump and just go with it. If it turns out crap, then so be it, but you might end up having fun with it if you let yourself.

And RC Cola tastes as good as Coke. Sometimes a brown liquid tastes just fine.

Yes, nothing like pre-judging a movie as garbage, when you haven't seen it yet, and in fact, we have seen almost nothing officially released about it yet. And we wonder why some people don't like posting anymore. The negativity is a real drain.
