It seems to me that an actor who can do comedy well can also switch to more serious roles. It's more difficult the other way around. Look at what Woody Harrelson, Bryan Cranston, and Robin Williams did in their non-comedic roles in Natural Born Killers, Breaking Bad, and Insomnia/One Hour Photo. Actors who are mostly known for comedy can often create even darker characters than actors who specialize in serious roles.

I'm curious to see what Danny McBride's pilot character in Alien: Covenant is like, as he was not brought onto the project for comic relief. Serious, I realize, but I'm wondering what his idiosyncrasies will be.

I wonder if Donald Glover will wear a wig or if he'll perm his hair out Billie Dee Williams style? Can't wait to see him in some pictures from the movie, he doesn't look much like Williams but he's got the acting chops to play the part.

It would be really great if this film was bookended with pre-TFA Han and Lando (played by Harrison and Billy Dee, obviously) telling the story sitting in some hole-in-the-wall bar somewhere... I know it would be cheesey, but I would love to see them (especially Billy Dee) playing the characters again for a few minutes.

 

I wonder what kind of outfit this younger Lando will have. Having the same outfit from ESB doesn't make any sense, since that is obviously an expensive outfit he could wear after becoming the administrator of Cloud City.

I think a more cheap-looking, alternative version of his Cloud City outfit could work. Without that flashy cape.
