I'm a big fan of Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, & American Horror Story. I was/am also a big fan of Sopranos, Rome, Deadwood, and other HBO shows. These are all great, edgy, shows, and IMHO definitely not for kids.

And, I do completely agree that extremely graphic violence and/or nudity definitely do not belong in a SW film or TV show - this should be a show that kids can watch & enjoy, as well as adults.

And, re: the violence, you could argue that the films are violent enough; I was re-watching ANH recently (for the first time in years), and I'm surprised that the film was able to get a PG rating at that time - just the scene of Beru & Owen's bodies is fairly disturbing, let alone Walrus man's arm, etc. Raiders of the Lost Ark (another PG film) is the same way. Of course, the PG-13 rating didn't exist then...

I don't know how many times I watched that scene in ANH, and I JUST saw the bodies for the first time not too long ago.

My dad pointed that out the first time I saw it. Thanks dad. But yeah, I don't mind slightly graphic scenes. I think we are all in the same page. And I learned something today

Same for me! I don't know how many times I watched ANH and it was like my mind blocked out the details of those two charred skeletons.

So, the second big question today is how the Abrams announcement will affect the upcoming TV show. Let's remember that Abrams has a longstanding association with Damon Lindelof, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz; a clique of people who in various combinations have now been responsible for two back-to-back monster hit series created for - you guessed it - Disney/ABC.

At this point, I think it would be more than reasonable to believe that the new Star Wars show could end up in the hands of the same people. Which would be a good thing.

If this happened I would cry in joy. Also I would abandon my career field to be a part of the show.
That being said, I can see it happening now
Sunday Night 7PM The Muppet Show, 8 PM Once Upon A Time, 9PM SHIELD, 10 PM Star Wars Underworld

Talk about cementing their sunday night viewership, plus the fact of putting these shows back to back would encourage fans of one series to cross pollenate with the others

Wonder if JJ Abrams will be the guy who directs this series, seeing as Whedon gets to do SHIELD and Abrams has experienced with LOST.

Choose graphic design and "get in with Disney" is what a teacher has told me I should do

Go for it. I honestly like what I am set to do, but I love what Disney is doing and the direction it is going in. I hardly watch any other channel, save for Adult Swim, TCW on occasion, and Seth MacFarlane shows on Fox (usually on Hulu). My wife makes me watch Pretty Little Liars, which isn't terrible. Waiting for Jaina's pretty little Jedi show...

    Alistair Overeem as Savage Opress.

6 ft 5 in, 265 pounds at fighting weight, probably walks around at 290-300 pounds.
This dude is a monster, made Brock Lesnar look small.
Very athletic and agile from his mixed martial arts training.
Have him voiced by somebody else like they did with Darth Maul.

This sounds a lot like what 1313 was going for. Perhaps we could see another SOTE/TFU multimedia project?

I know for some reason the terms Darker and Edgier are looked down on, but dammit it when it works it works spectacularly well and the underworld of Star Wars is ripe for picking in a more 'adult' tv series.

As awesome as Hugh Jackman is, I think Vizsla has to be Bruce Willis

I was thinking more of junior dos santos... But both are beasts.
I think Hugh Jackman can be Cad Bane if Clint Eastwood's old body can't manage them jetpack boots...

jason acuna/verne troyer for gascon? I don't know any other short actors....
