TV Discussion Official Live Action Series Discussion Thread

I think The Old Republic era stories should be approached for TV treatment. A Revan-centric TV show could be Game of Thrones with aliens, lightsabers, spaceships and other worlds but without the nudity.

 

Its coming, you think after agents if shield doing well and Once Upon a Time doing great, that Disney won't go in with a prime time star wars show on ABC to pair with shield.

We probably won't here about it till after VII comes out, remember there were rumors of around 4 MCU shows before avengers came out and it wasn't till a year later that we got shield.

We probably won't see any of the Lucas Scripts used since their all pre ANH. Just like how shield took place after the Avengers and Iron Man 3, a star wars shoe would probably take place in the time frame of VII, since rebels is covering the dark period.

And it has a good amount of Darth Plagueis awesome in it, too.

 

Considering ABC is going to air over 30 episodes of Marvel TV (Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter) this year, I can definitely see a Star Wars TV series happening. Personally, I would hope for an ABC summer series where they adapt the Live Action "Underworld" scripts, maybe 13 a year, it'd be a way to get our summer Star Wars fix since the movies are probably gonna start coming out at Christmas from now on.

I also think we wouldn't have to sweat that much about ratings. Agents of SHIELD is on a Disney owned station and is a weekly advertisement for their Marvel brand and I can't see it going anywhere anytime soon. Same deal would apply to Star Wars. Sometimes brand awareness is more important than live ratings.
