JCC Official Pizza Notification Thread

The Twitters tell me it's National Pizza Day. It's gonna have to be for lunch because I have all this leftover steak and homemade salsa so it's dang quesadillas for dinner.

 

Well crap. I'm under blizzard conditions. I only have frozen pizza today.

 

Pizza Pizza is the worst. Even Pizza Hut is better.

 

I finally tried Midici Neapolitan Pizza. It's a small chain out of California, I think. They just opened up one in my neighborhood that I've been wanting to try for a while. The restaurant boasts a fine, almost hipster-like vibe. My friends and I were a little thrown off by it not being a traditional table-service style restaurant, however. Having to go up and wait in one line to order your food for each course, and then migrating to a second line to pay per course, was a bit odd. But I suppose you could order all your courses at once if you're that prepared from the get-go.

They have a decent wine selection and some excellent draft beers. The food is all made to order, including their burrata cheese, which was absolutely outstanding. I had it as an appetizer alongside a kale in pesto salad.

I had their prosciutto truffle pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic.

 

I decided instead off quesadillas, I'll make make Mexican pizzas because #NoWall

 

I heard the call Friday (free pizza lunch at work) and yesterday (my cheeseless, veg pizza that I love)...and I want to hear it again. This is definitely pizza weather.

 

pizza notification: arriving at 7 pm tonight. Extra large. thin crust. Half pepperoni, half spinach/mushroom. Salad on the side, because, well, we deserve a good laugh.

Also superhero notification. The 13 year old and I are renting Dr. Strange. It's really going to happen.

 

I heard and obeyed my veggie pizza's siren song tonight.

 

Life sort of sucks tonight, so I declare Pizza!

Just had two slices of 7-Eleven pizza for $2.22. Wasn't that great...guess I got what I paid for.

 

Verily, I heeded the call at long last. Shortly, veggie pizza in my very happy belly. I've been craving pizza hard all week. With that, I will salute Juliet316 and hope her Sunday is going better than Saturday did.

Yes there is. Not only that, but eating pizza when you're full means you enjoy it less.
