Official RedSox 2002 season Thread!!

Derek Lowe is amazing. I love everything about this guy. Watching him pitch I feel the same confidence as when I see Pedro, sometimes even more so. He's in his groove now and I'm predicting he makes the All Star Team.

 

I've hated Derek Lowe until this season...just word word for him now...wow!

 

Great game yesterday, thats how Yankee vs. Sox games should be.

 

Wowee....my Socks are doing well! Makes me happy! Great series with the Yankess. I can not believe Shea Hillenbrand. I certainly a glad I got to meet him last year. And Derek Lowe too. He's so awesome.

Pedro isn't back to full form yet. He's still got some mechanics problems to work out and it takes him an inning or two to get inot a good groove, but he is well on his way.

Anyways, I've go my Lab Practicum tonight and only five days of classes left. Then finals. So, I'll be home and posting up a storm before you know it!

Sounds good. I am very happy with the progress of the Sox so far. I had no idea that Derek Lowe was a starter this season.

 

He's always wanted to be a starter and never wanted to be the closer in the first place. He hated it. I talked to him last year at a game about it and he said he really wanted to start instead of close, and it certainly looks like we should listen to him more

 

We sure should. Everything depends on the players, its common sense.

 

Kudos to whoever can relate Red Sox to SW.
Note: Relating the RedSox\Yankee to Rebel\Imperial doesnt count, cause the red sox havent won yet.

 

The Yankees would be the Imperials though. Cause we are trying to bring down their Empire(of winning so many series).

Hey! My name is Adi and I do live in MA (Foxboro actually - Go Pats!). I'd never be allowed to formally join a group like this and actually go to meetings as much as I'd like to. Thanks for the welcome! I desperately need to get away from those Yankee fans. I love them, but they're crazy. They just don't understand that Nomar could kick Jeter's ass back to Little League. Whenever I mention the fact that Nomar has better stats than Jeter the answer is, yes you guessed it, "1918."

So far this looks like the year,but I'm not getting to excited yet,remember this is the Sox we're talking about.Anything could happen.

 

True. They could start sucking any game now... but I sure hope not.

 

To be totally honest, I have a really good feeling about the team this year, the kind of feeling I have never had about the Sox before. The only thing I can relate it to is what I felt about the Patriots halfway through the season...

 

The team this year has a wonderful chemistry that will definately help them come September. However, I have my doubts about this being "the" year. Sure they're great right now, but they're always good in April. It's only after the All-Star break that they start going downhill. But I was wrong about the Patriots and I hope I'm wrong about the Sox!

And anyway, even if they don't win, the Sox are still better than the Yankees.

 

I still can't believe the no-hitter.

 

I'd like to believe this is there year,but it is still early in the season.

Adi's right,its usually after the All-Star Break that it fizzles out!!
