I thought it was just to link in with old Obi-Wan's comments about the Jedi. But maybe I'm just being charmingly naive about it or something

I've always been struck by how fearful Yoda is of Sidious...he really doesn't want Luke to mix it up with him. I do have to think that, at some point, Yoda is going to see Sidious in action. Whether he fights him or just witnesses the guy's power...I think in some way it'll be a combination of that and realising the complicated web that Sidious has weaved around them all that really puts the fear into Yoda.

and how come noone mentioned padme's hair in the cini-bun's when she is hugging anakin?

and 1 question, does it at all look like she is giving obi-wan a dirty / doubtful look in the beginning of the trailer when she is talking to obi on the couch?

Well, since this is the trailer discussion only thread, I'll highlight it: the name of the lava planet is Mustafar.

And I hope it's OK to say that since it's practically everywhere by now.

In deference to G_M, I'll answer this in the other thread. Sorry about that, G_M.

 

Not sure if this has been mention before, but the burning object being hosed down by the 'firetruck speeders' is the same design as the large cruiser later seen exchanging broadsides with one of the pre- star destroyers. They both have the same protrusion coming from the top-front of the craft's nose. So we can assume at least one CIS ship crashes on Coruscant. Awesome.

 

I noticed Padme with the famous Leia buns hair, and it was actually cool how natural it looked. As it, it didn't seem like an obvious nod to Leia...it suited Padme as well, and since we saw Padme with something similar in AOTC it made it look more like her style that Leia later picks up and uses herself...

As for the look she gives Obi-Wan, it definitely looked like shock to me. I think some serious news has just been relayed to her there, though I don't have a clue what that could be...and I don't know if Obi-Wan is the person telling her or if someone else is also in the room. Either way, she looks stunned.

 

Where is Yoda in this trailer? It looks like it might be in that hallway behind hte senate pods, that we saw briefly in Episode I.

Anyone else curious?

this trailer blew my mind away..... my heart was pounding after the first time i watched it. I've seen it like 30 times now, and it keeps getting better.

Some intriguiing stuff...the shot of Palpatine laughing/slashing. But honestly, the little bit of panoramic action looks no different than a bunch of CG sequences you see on a lot of video games these days. And Vader looks a bit goofy strapped in like that, no? Are those his hands?

"What of these hands, my master?"
- "They are little-girl hands, Lord Vader...you must earn your manly hands by destroying the Jedi."

Later as Vader goes after the Jedi:

Jedi: "My God, what Is that? And what's with those hands?"

You know those walker things in the lava planet scene. I've heard some say that they look like Geonosians. I'd just like to note if I may that there is a concept art in "The Art of Ep2" that looks similar (at least to me)

I hope that's ok to say.. since it's from way back when.

Anyway I saw the trailer in the theater with The Incredibles. WOW.. was so much better than seeing it on the computer. I was already excited about EP3 now I REALLY am. Can't wait for Cele III either.

Question: Where would be the best thread to post ideas about EP3 based on a new look at AOTC after watching the trailer?

1. Does Padme look pregant anywhere in the trailer?

2. Is that Palpatine saying rise? Sounds robotic. The General perhaps?

 

I was honestly surprised about the lack of Dooku in the trailer.

Not that I really care about his character, but he is somewhat important.

 

I think we'll see Dooku and Grievous and Clonetroopers in the next trailer.

 

Just saw the extra-large trailer.

Hadn't noticed there are FOUR crabs, not two.

When Anakin starts choking Obi-Wan, it looks like they're on top of the table in the same room where Anakin turns with his freaky Sith eyes.

Also, Anakin's fighter looks like a TIE fighter, but it looks like Obi-Wan's fighter is still basically the same Jedi Starfighter, although it's hard to tell for sure.

 

Darth_Corleone, I'm glad I'm not the only one concerned about Vaders hands!

They had to realize this would happen -- the webdocs show them stuffing the helmet with padding to accommodate Hayden's smaller head -- why didn't they do the same for the hands!

Now I'm afraid to see a full head to toe shot exposing tiny feet!!!

 

Yeah, they should have hired a body builder. He's not big enough.

 

Let's just wait for the movie, although I tend to agree with you guys.

He looked impressive enough in the preview on the OT DVDs.
